Once we were given the Holy Spirit we were told God's voice would be a still small voice, so it is embedded in the brain, but it is very real. And I dare say if we heard the awesome audible voice of God today, many would fall dead. But you can always ask God for these things as a believer because one day my husband and I were reading that the people heard God's voice as a thunder and we were greatly grieved over a situation in prayer and it was a beautiful sunny day and out of no where it thundered - I even wrote in my Bible the situation we prayed about and the fact that we heard the thunder. With God nothing is impossible.

I am sure it is possible. However, the description in the Bible doesn't prove that God's voice was actual sound waves. It is more likely that it was something in the nature of collective hallucination. This is not to say that it wasn't real, of course. I am merely hypothesizing about the most likely mechanism.

God's voice is usually described a a 'still, small voice' heard within oneself. Often it is simply a thought without words. One has to be very discerning to be sure that one 'hears' it correctly.

'Audible' does not necessarily mean that anyone else will hear it. It simply describes a sensation of sound.

Also think about Jesus' words "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear". There are those whose ears are closed to the meaning of things, even though they hear the words.

God has never spoken to me in an audible,
at-the-end-of-the-telephone voice, but He has spoken to me in many other ways.

Of course it is possible for Him to speak with us in an audible voice, but consider this: is it ever quiet enough for you to hear him? We live in a world FULL of noise: traffic, music, t.v., the fridge humming, electrical appliances, large numbers of people, planes ...... if you want to hear the Word of God, or hear His voice, try finding somewhere really quiet and meditating for a while. Don't set a time limit, either - you have to make time for the Lord, that's what obedience is about.

And ask Him. If you pray for something, you'll receive it - so always be very careful what you pray for. And remember that God wants you to believe in Him without evidence - that's what faith is. Without faith, you'll find it VERY difficult to have a personal relationship with the Saviour.

Good meditation :)

YES it is possible. But remember if God does decide to speak to u audibly, you will keep expecting audible voice. Also we need to b pure for God to approach us. We also need to have faith-that is believeing without seeing or hearing. But God will reward you if u diligently seek His face. One more thing Jesus came to earth but still people doubted and rejeted Him. So even if u do hear a voice, the enemy will through doubt and may even try to use it against you. YES God has a voice. Its powerful, the voice of God? imagine that for a second-God made the world through speaking. SO its no small thing to hear His voice. We are his children., and He talks to us more than we know or perceive. sumtimes.

He/She does connect all the time, its just that many dont hear/see/feel it and some dont believe it when it happens.

Stop trying to rationalise it and MEDITATE.... then meditate some more, keep meditating daily until you can get into a state of total peace and traquility
This will life up your resonance so you will come closer to the divine - this is where you will find God
We each connect spiritually in 3 ways but one gift is strongest and one is weakest...
audibly - hearing
visually - seeing
kenesthetically - feeling
we connect using our strongest gift
.....enjoy!!!

Of course it is possible, but God doesn't do that for a reason. We have evolved into a more intelligent (albeit less wise) society, and we have figured out how to do many things. We are put on the planet to learn, and we are doing that. I laugh at all the discussion between Science and Religion. Einstein said it best: "Religion without science is ignorance, science without religion is impossible." Of course they mesh, God created everything, and we are learning step by step how things work, why they work, etc. At the same time we as a society need to learn how to treat each other better, we have always been lacking in that area.

So...God isn't going to talk to us to give us the answers unless He deems it necessary. Trust yourself, you have enough common sense, and knowledge to figure most things out on your own.

I believe the Holy Spirit will speak to you. I have never been blessed by God's audible voice but don't underestimate God. He is all powerful and nothing is impossible with Him.

No. God is a man-made creation. And as for Moses and the Old Testament, don't get me started.

All things are possible with G-d. I have heard accounts from people I trust of G-d speaking to them in the awesome thunder-like voice like in the Bible. But G-d wants to trust Him, so He always seems to leave room to explain away His miracles. Keep feeding your faith!
