Shame on Child Services. Even though you know he doesn't have any money, you will have to go about this by filing for support. You can always negotiate later.
I would begin by checking out some of the sites below. One lists the cost at $39.95 (not too bad really), the other says free. Some might charge you after you collect. I don't know where you live so that is hard, you do have to file in court I know to get the ball rolling. In Florida we have a website called myflorida.com that you can go to and contact the correct agencies for filing.
It might not hurt to draft a letter to your State Representatives. You can usually do it online. This is election year and if nothing else, you might get a suggestion on where to go next.
One last thing, start a web site. You can do one right through Yahoo, get an old picture and scan it in, name him, put in pictures of your child. Plead your case, then register it on any and all search engines you can find. List it by his name, by "deadbeat dad" by any key word that you can think of that might trigger someone else looking for him to find you.
Good luck to you and your child...how very sad. I hope you have some good help now and can help your son get to meet his dad.

I am feelin your pain. If you could find relatives that may help. Also, go to www.zabasearch.com. This is free and you can find most anyone on there. Good luck, hopefully your son will make the right decision after seeing his father doesn't care, never did adn never will.

After not seeing my father for 13 years I found him through one of his relatives. Maybe that is a way you can go about finding your sons father.

If the ***hole hasn't been there for you all this time , he's not good enough to meet your son :(
14.95 people finder
or post him on missing persons website , someone will send you an email , with a man who can find anyone its free . took me 3 days .
it really will mess your kid up though , he might not be pld enough to understand how someone could do that to him ! bless

My dad walked out on me too. I found him using the People Search. It cost me $9.95 to search for him by his name and SSN. It was really easy to track him down. Search for people finders on yahoo. That's what I used. Good luck in tracking him down.

Do you have his social security number, full name, mothers name, and 50 dollars to do a search?
