Nature has been around for ever... It keeps going around till it's soul is clean. Our one physical body is our soul. When we are buried nature is quite efficient at recycling and mulching it for other forms of life to live from.

A Buddhist or Hindu would be illogical for me to quote since I would find that the furtherest thing from perfection and don't consider me having slandered you anymore than you slandered me for saying I couldn't quote to you from I find to be perfect, the Bible. But just in a general sense of conversation, how could a soul that has to have an abode, keep going on forever and forever and forever - would not its many lives become confused and create insanity within its fleshly bearer as it sees the deterioration from time to time or the richness of one time and the impoverishment of another? I would not want to know that my soul could never be set free but always searching and never knowing where it would land and if this 80 to 100 years would be better or worse than the last. I do not think even Buddha or Hindu would want this or they would keep circulating their souls and where are their souls now?

why do you think hindhuism and buddism are more intelligent than Chrisitianity? How do you know we've been here forever? the leaders of those religion were good and intelligent of course, but just men. BUT Christian prophets were ordained of God and taught direct revelations, absolute truths about life. You can ask from God in sincere prayer. I know this for sure, because I received an answer to my prayers directly from God. This is a sure knowledge.

There is no such thing as reincarnation, but resurrection in the next life. When we die, our body and spirit will separate temporarily, where our spirits go to the spirit world. Our spirits dwell there till the resurrection when everyone will receive the bodies never to be separated again. That is life after death. If we reincarnate, we will not have idendity, our loved ones will not be "our"loved ones anymore if people reincarnated. But there is a bright hope of resurrection to live with our loved ones forever in the presence of God.

I'm Wiccan, and I believe in reincarnation for the purpose of our soul maturing. Perhaps not quite the same as yours, but I think it's close. I think that new souls are born all the time, and that it takes many lifetimes for a soul to get to the point where it doesn't need to be reborn any longer; it can join with the One that is All out there.

We have been around forever only in as much as we are recycled when we die and become part of the earth, though still as matter. There certainly is no such thing as a soul, that's simply a religious construct.

It's what we're brainwashed with, dude. You believe what you're brainwashed with too. So much so that this is uncomfortable for you to read.

Your premise is wrong, btw, things have not been around for ever.- This is shown by the fact that everything depleats/changes-for-ever. Even our sun has only a certain amount of energy in it, and when it's done, it's done. Sh*t dude, I had given up on religion, but you've just got me to re-believe in it again. [smile]

I respect your religion so I won't bother giving you an intelligent answer from the bible.
