Google does this very well and there are numerous freeware programs which also work very well. One I use is http://www.esbcalc.com/
If you want a pocket converter, try Amazon or, perhaps, Argos

try the sharp EL344G
There are plenty on ebay.
It converts very easily between metric and imperial.
for distnace areas, volume temperatures, force, calories etc.
they cost about 10 dollars.
I use it a lot for cooking.
