I didn't think it was as good as the book at all. It was very good, and I imagine if you haven't read the book that it would be amazing. But still... it's not as good as the book.

Stop asking about the Da Vinci code in the Religon and Spirituality section. It's just a damn book. I highly doubt it was ever meant to be taken so seriously. It's just a MYSTERY BOOK. Like SHERLOCK HOLMES. People who believe this book was ever meant to give anything but entertainment are either mentally challenged or insane.
All rantings aside, I've not seen the movie, precisely because I highly doubt it is worth seeing. Read the book (but please, do NOT take it seriously and join the rest of the idiots who think it is a religon!), but I recommend sticking to that only.
By the way, I am sorry if I come off as rude. I merely want to emphasize just how silly I think the assumption that it is a religon is.

Skip it! I am one of those people that don't like reading the book. I rather go and watch the movie, but something told me to read the book first this time. I read the book and i was expecting so much out of the movie. The movie did not live up to my expectations at all. I HATED THE MOVIE!!!!! Read the book, it is written is simple english language and it is so much more fun than the movie. The MOVIE SUCKS!! The theatre that we were watching movie in, many people just got up in middle of the movie and left. I just expected movie to be like the book or atleast close to it. Nope! It doesn't even come near the book. They totally messed the movie up. READ THE BOOK!! You will be glad you did.

People say that Christians shouldn't see The Da Vinci Code, but I did! Not only that...I bought the book!!! It's F-A-B-U-LOUS!!!!! But there's some violence in it! And there's a man killed...Then he striped his own clothes and used a marker to draw a "STAR" on his chest. Like one of Leonardo's painting.
The "star" meant the symbol of male and female. It is the blade and the the chalice.

I read the book (which is odd for me because I rarely read novels) and I loved it. In my opinion, the movie is almost as good as the book. My boyfriend who hasn't read the book, liked the movie also. Over all, I'd say, go and see it.

its okay, not the best movie, but its watchable.
tom hanks is wonderful as always, and so is ian mckellen.
i liked the book a lot more, there's a lot more info and a lot more story, but that's to be expected. you can only fit so much into a movie.

My Fiancee and I saw it and we enjoyed it very much.. Once ppl realize its a work of fiction .. based on a " what If " scenario .. I think they would enjoy it too rather then all the controversy .
