Well, the alternative is plants, which are also living things that were created by "God." Personally, I tried the whole vegetarian thing for moral reasons, and my logical mind couldn't get around the fact that I was still killing something in order to survive. I could either starve myself or kill something. To say that animals are somehow better than plants is just as bad as saying that humans are somehow better than animals. I eat animals because I know that in order for myself to live, I must kill something else. Meat tastes good. It's healthy for you in moderation, and it supplies nutrients that are hard to get from plants. This far outweighs the the fact that I'm killing something, not to mention the fact that I'd have to kill something to eat no matter what I do.

Well, according to this logic we're in quite a pickle. I mean, God created all of the plants too. I guess I'll just stop eating everything and wait for Him to send down manna from the sky again.
Why would you ask such a ridiculous question? God has given us authority over all of the animals and has granted us the right to eat them.

Let me think about this. If I follow your logic correctly, God created the animals, so I (also created by God) shouldn't eat them. OK. Then I (created by God) will eat plants, which are also created by God. Hmmm. Fish? Created by God. What does that leave? Dirt?

I'll have the meat, fish, poultry, with a side of fries (potatoes) and a salad, please. OH, and don't forget my beer (hops, barley, grain, water - also created by God)

Animals did not just magically appear for us to eat, God created them for us to eat! After the flood, God made this statement to Noah and his family, Genesis 9:3 "Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant. 4 "Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.

By the way what happens to animals that we don't eat? - They die eventually anyways, so are we saving their lives?

They didn't magically appear, God created them and I eat them. How does created by god = don't eat it?

According to that thinking we could not eat anything because everything was created by God, as you say, and we would die

If God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat.

Plants and bacteria are living things and are also created by GOD.If you can kill plants and bacteria for your survival so why not animals. It is in nature of human to eat meat.If GOD(our creator) do not want us to eat meat so why HE had given us pointed teeth(used to tear meat) and why HE had given us omnivorous type of digestive system(which can digest meat).GOD had given us permission to eat halal(pure) meat.
