My opinion is a little different. I believe that God, or what you might call God, told those people who died in the tsunami to get to a higher ground, but they ignored the message as a funny feeling, or some craziness. If you look at the animals they all left to higher ground. Even elephants that were chained up broke through their chains to get to higher ground. The only animals to die were domesticated animals like cats and dogs, that were unable to leave their owners' homes. I believe that if you follow your intuition first and your logic and emotions second, you will always find that things work out for the best. This includes car accidents, diseases, etc.

I believe we are here for a certain length of time. There is a year, date, time when our time is up. When we decided to take on a body this time is given to us. When we past through the Vail we have no knowledge of anything before. As for the child it does know of God and Angles I believe they see them til they know the difference between right and wrong. Either the baby decided not to stay or God decided this was the wrong place to be. God always has a reason for everything and we may not agree with it or like it. I had a daughter 4 years ago and now I don't. She was killed on 4 wheeler accident. It flip over forward end over end. Her boyfriend said he never saw it touch her. I told him he wasn't meant to see it. There was nothing in the road for her to hit and they were only going 10 or 15 miles an hour. So I really believe that it was her time to leave here. It would not matter if she was in bed asleep she still would have left here and gone home. I had her for 22 years and now he has her and we will be together again when my time is up. Hope this helps you because it really helps me to believe it this way.

If there wasn't a GOD there would be no good in the world at all. It rains on the just and the unjust. GOD uses simple ways to confound the wise. If we knew it all we would be with HIM in Heaven and not here. We don't know GOD's reasoning but all things good come to them that love the Lord. So sometimes it takes a Sunami to get people to come to HIM. Think about Job. He suffered greatly but GOD gave it all back four fold. HE wants to see his people with HIM and not in Hell so if it takes some things to make people think it is worth it all. This is also why HE sent HIS SON. HE gave HIS life because it was worth it to see GOD's people accept HIM and not go to Hell. An auto accident is nothing compared to this, a sunami is nothing compared to this. Think about it. GOD gave HIS SON. Were we really worth that? HE thought so.

When God created man, we were given "free will". Therefore WE not God select where we are and what we do. God gives us guidelines for our lives ie: the Ten Commandments. God then lets us decide how we live our lives. Jesus gave us many more "examples" as the Beatitudes. Look at 911. God didn't MAKE the airplanes fly into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Neither did God MAKE those brave people attempt to stop the 4th plane from crashing into he 4th target.
When an infant dies it is a tremendous blow to the families. If you deal with these disasters in your life, as a disciple of God, you demonstrate your love and trust for God. If you condemn God you likewise separate yourself from Him. Read the story of Job in the Old Testament. God NEVER forgets His children, even though we sometimes forget Him.

There is no good answer to this. Some people may beleive that it is because the Devil has control over such things. However, we also do not know how much good God does in the world. Take for example a car crash. There was a mother and child in a car that crashed on the freeway, it was a head on collision into a truck for example. The mother and child die but the truck driver survives. How could God let that happen you say? But who is to question God? Maybe the truck drivers great great great grandson will be the bringer of world peace? Maybe God's good works are invisible to us and we only see the bad as that is what we are inclined to see.
Also there is the theory of the 'Good Parent' (Look up Richard Swinburne) He suggested that God's actions are more like that of a good parent who lets the child experience things for themselves rather than shielding them from everything. For example if a child keeps swinging a door and the father says "don't do that you'll trap your fingers" but the child continues until it does trap its fingers thus learning from its mistakes... God is like this. He gave us free will for us to be able to make our own mistakes and learm from them.
Hope I helped ;)

Hey God is there and I believe in him. It is just that people have to pay for their bad deeds done right on this earth!! U can't say that the people that die in natural or accidental calamities r not innocent although they may also be but when God needs a good person he calls that person to Him to help him. And it's tsunami not sunami!!!

God is simply the creator. He cannot affect what we do.He has given us free will. That tsunami was caused because of man's ravaging of nature.Purely physics. If you cause global warming, the ice caps will melt. And all that water has to go somewhere, right?
But he also gave us a much needed lesson. You keep pushing something around, after sometime, it will invariably push back. This is nature pushing back.
But it has also brought out the good in many people. We see the examples of heroism all over the world.Other countries selflessly help those in peril. So,it has a silver lining to it,too.
Life is a test for everbody. How well you perform is upto you.

I think God lets these ppl die because they have done what they need to do. They have fulfilled their purpose. Ppl will die eventually that is just how it goes but sometimes if someone dies in an accident or freak storm or something like that maybe God wants you to remember them for when they were alive. It just makes the time you or whoever had with them more special or make a bigger impact on who you are and your actions.

Just Babies Tsunami victims and people who got into car accidents? Don't the millions of other tragedies concern you? Why does God allow evil at all? Only he knows, but I trust that God is Good and Just, so there must be a pretty good reason.

Many people, including some branches of the Christian Church, follow Christianity as if it were a superstition or magic.
"If I pray and observe the commandments, no ill will come to me".
The world is in the hands of mankind. It's rules, weaknesses. failings, disasters,crimes...are mankind's. The suffering that is born by people in this world will be comforted and relieved in the next. That is the promise of Christianity.
The commandments of Christianity: Love God, and Love your Fellow Man, compel us to better management of this earth to relieve the suffering of our fellow man.
So - in response, it is our responsibility to help make sure poor communities are protected from tsunami, and to help the mothers of unwanted children, and help cure the diseases of children. Pick one problem that causes suffering and work to relieve it. This follows Jesus's bidding.
