Who said god did?
We did because we can't agree on god.

Because they are all right. I believe that there is a god and a goddess. Every god who has ever been prayed to or called upon is the same god, just different aspects. The same with the goddess. Now I know you're sitting there going "How the heck". Look at it this way, you sitting there reading this, you are someones child, possibly someones parent, someones sibling, someones friend. Now when your Mother asks you to do something she is appealing to the part of you that is her child, your child is appealing to the part of you that is a parent, your friend asks the part of you that is a friend. In the same manner when you pray to your god, you are appealing to an aspect of the same god I pray to.
So along that vein, if all Gods are one God, and all Goddess are one Goddess, then all religions that have a positive impact are correct. You can believe in the religion of Gobbledygook but so long as you treat others well, and it helps you in your life, it is good and it is right.
But yes, in the end Deity did not create these religions, we added the names for the aspects, we added the ritual that made us feel better and we also do not know who is right and who is wrong, and possibly all correct, why ask this question at all?

Interestingly enough, Maimonides, a medieval Jewish scholar, wrote that Islam and Christianity were created as a part of God's master plan. These two religions allowed certain elements of Judaism to become global, giving us room for common dialog. When the Messiah eventually comes, Christians and Muslims will be somewhat prepared.

Good question, mostly. No one has yet proven there even is a god and yet there are a zillion manuals on which god is the true god. If you look at all the theories, supply and demand leaves all religions pretty much worthless.
No one can convince me of otherwise until I choose to believe, so dont waste your time.

Simple answer.. God Didn't. People did. Sorry. You're just gonna have to ponder that one yourself. Think about it. The bible originated in the middle east and was then canonised by the pope hundreds of years later, missing out many stories and books (ever heard of the gospel of Thomas?) Whereas in the far east and asia they had never even heard of Jesus or the Bible. Why? Because they had their own religions of Sikhism, Hindism and Buddhism.

He didn't. If you go in history; you will find out that there was two churches in the beginning. The Catholic Church and The True Church. In the Mediaeval Period; you couldn't read the Bible; if you got caught there would be death. But at this time the true church had to flee in the wilderness from this persecuting church.
This was the Dark ages. But anyway afterwards; some people seen the Catholic Church trangressing on doctrines of the Bible--so they came out of her; but still kept most or some of her doctrines.
READ (Rev.12:6,14---church in wilderness) ( Rev.17:5 & Rev.13:1,12--Catholic and Protestants)
Now as I mentioned; God only has one religion.
EPHESIANS 4:4,5 "THERE IS ONE BODY, AND ONE SPIRIT, EVEN AS YE ARE CALLED IN ONE HOPE OF YOUR CALLING: ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM."
EPHESIANS 5:27 "THAT HE MIGHT PRESENT IT TO HIMSELF A GLORIOUS CHURCH, NOT HAVING SPOT, OR WRINKLE, OR ANY SUCH THING; BUT THAT IT SHOULD BE HOLY AND WITHOUT BLEMISH."
The true church is mentioned often in the Bible.
ACTS 20:28 "TAKE HEED THEREFORE UNTO YOUSELVES, AND TO ALL THE FLOCK, OVER THE WHICH THE HOLY GHOST HATH MADE YOU OVERSEERS, TO FEED THE CHURCH OF GOD, WHICH HE HATH PURCHASED WITH HIS OWN BLOOD."

i dont think God had much to do with that! Mahatma Gandhi used to say that religion is nothing more that a prescribed way of life! and that different religions are but different paths to one and only end - salvation.

God didn't make all the different religions. He made only one. It's people that have different interpretations.
