your cat cannot get the Flu from getting washed or given a bath.
The flu is a virus that is transmitted by contact with an infected animal,or person who has contact with same.
Is there any color to the discharge coming from the eyes or nose?
when you washed the cat did you possibly get water and soap in the cats ears or nose?
Chances are that you are dealing with a bacterial infection, I highly recommend that you take the cat to the vets he will probably dispense some antibiotics for kittie to take.

Please take your cat to the vets as I got a kitten that was not well and I toke him to the vets the next day and he had cat flu and it was so far gone for a kitten he nearly died. I did phone the bloke up who I got the kitten from to let him know but nothing from him not a thank you for letting me know. So please take your cat to the vets to see if there is any thing they can give the cat to help it. Good luck

Take him/her to vet please. they will prescribe a liquid antibiotic called Clavamox (amoxycillin) probably or some other antibiotic that you suspense orally through a dropper. ( my kitten is on it right now for eye infection and a cold. You need to get the kitty to vet though-sometimes it can turn into pneumonia, and with small kittens it can be fatal if it gets too far along. Make sure kitty keeps eating, as long as he/she has appetite it's immune system will be better able to fight. Good luck!

i wouldn't "give" him anything the vet didn't prescribe. vit. c is okay, but usually only works before they get sick, to help keep the immune system up. if your cat is still eating, drinking, peeing and pooping fine, i wouldn't worry too much, he'll probably get over it. sounds like maybe he's only got allergies?
