Why? Because you have compassion for them? What a heartless God He would be if he sent people to hell for caring about others.

LOL! Sweetie? What a beautiful heart you have for even asking this question. The only Hell that Catholics or otherwise, refer to, is what we have made of our planet and our existence here on this Earth. That is the so-called Hell to which most Bible thumpers refer to. My Creator, in which I choose to believe in, has no intention of treating me badly, no matter what I have done. Gays deserve not to ever be cast into a pit of fire, and neither do you for believing they shouldn't be cast there. Picture this, if you will:

All of your friends are casting stones at a couple of gays and you, in your sweet, natural, compassionate, non-judgmental,spiritual self, is trying to pull their arms back, screaming and saying, "NO! STOP!"

What do you think sweetie? What do you think is the right thing to do? If the answer you chose is exactly what you are doing? Then you chose the right answer.

Gays are only those with a birth defect. Their testes went one way without consulting the brain. Same with women. The testes ascended without letting the brain know that they did so. Result? Birth defect. And, unfortunately, a bunch of homophobes who have nothing better to do in their own lives but to pick on those who may be a bit different, go out and cause trouble with people whose bedroom business is theirs and theirs alone.

Go to Hell? HELL NO! You are an Angel in your own right. I love you and I'm not even gay. Okay? I just can see your compassion shining through and don't ever let anybody tell you it is wrong to be that way. You are definitely going to a much better place after here than those who tell you that you are wrong for sticking up for gay folks. (((Sheri))))

First off, if you believe in God and His Word, then you know that there are numerous places that He shows that homosexuality is an abomination. Many people convolute and make their own translations to make them feel better about that lifestyle, but the fact is, God does not support it. Will you go to Hell for supporting gays, well no, but you will have to answer for it. You will have to explain to God why you think it is okay when He plainly tells you that it is not.
Let's say you don't believe in God. If men were supposed to be with men, and women to be with women, there would only be one sex. A unisex, if you will. How many gay dogs, lions, birds, mice, whatever have you seen? And we are supposed to be superior to them yet can't figure out that just isn't supposed to happen. If it were, a man could be with a man and produce a child, same for women and women. There is no logical explanation for the lifestyle except it is rogue.

The Catholic Church makes up all kinds of rules that are supposed to keep you in line. Those rules are supposed to make you think like they want you to think. It sounds like it's working on you.

I opted out of the religion years ago. It's the best thing thing I ever did for my peace of mind.

You will only go to hell if you 'think' you will go to hell. Try to change your mind set - thinking for yourself, not thinking what others tell you to think. You will be a better person once you realize that most truths can be found without interference from the Church.

If you know Christ, you shouldn't have to ask if you're going to hell, regardless of your current opinion on a certain issue. Spend time with the Lord, I'm sure he'll give you the answer or time to figure out if gay marriage is right or not.

regardless of your faith, if and this is the point "IF" being gay was "RIGHT" then why are so many people questioning it including gay people themselves....I would like to think that because so many people are against it, then being gay has a moral problem that gay people and none gay people who blindly support people being gay and doing what gay people do a "PROBLEM" or "WRONG".

Give people a YES and NO option to the question, do you want your son to be gay when he is a mature person ? They (who are real about it) will say no. This question is based on a similar educative scenario say if the question was "Do you want your son to be a mass murderer when he grows up" Alas in this scenario people are quicker to answer "Of course not!"

First of all , no one can say for sure where you are going ,
You can know, but it is between you n God. Now its very kind of you to support the gay community , where many others probably would not , those that aren't that is . When it comes to the God aspect ill say this , For God Loved the whole world that he gave his only son and those that believe in him , they will not ever perish ..

No, I don't think so! I don't see that mentioned in the 10 Commandment. And plus, I think there's nothing wrong with gays getting married. They really have their own right to do that!!! It is their own life!

No, you're not going to hell. But there as aspects of Catholic Doctrine that you do need to become aware of:

From the Catechism of the Catholic Church regarding homosexuality:

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

2396 Among the sins gravely contrary to chastity are masturbation, fornication, pornography, and homosexual practices.

In addition, you should not think of marriage as a 'civil right'. Marriage is not a right, it is privilege and a Holy Sacrament. That being the case, God makes the rules regarding who can and who cannot partake in His Holy Sacrament of Matrimony.

Some people like to think they make the rules regarding marriage, not God. Some people want you to believe Marriage is a civil right in which people are free to use in endoring moral wrongs.

You're not going to hell but, be advised, your sense of morals with regards to a proper understanding of homosexuality is not entirely orthodox.

Catholic Doctrine is not subject to line-item vetoes. You cannot decide for yourself which parts you will follow and which parts to ignore. A Catholic accepts all beliefs in Catholicism.

If this makes you feel uncomfortable, put your trust in God and believe in His Church. Understanding will come to you in time.
