The trip was going to be an hour away from home and we was going to be in a boat on the lake and go swimming. The people that was going to go was my mother-in-law and father-in-law and my husbands brother, me, hubby and our son.

You should let your family know that you are simply under the weather but you want them to go and to enjoy themselves. You are simply not meant to make this trip today but you will rest up and another time, when you are well, you will make the trip with them.
If they insist that they won't go because you are not well - then don't fight them - let them stay home if they choose to do that instead of going.

You should take care of yourself first. If hubby chooses not to go, that's not your fault. Encourage him to go for his son's sake, if not for the family.
Be certain you have whatever you may need, like, water, pills, etc. by your bedside and tell him to go as you would only be needing some rest.
Take care.

Tell them you are not feeling well....it's ok.They would understand if your hubby stays back to take care of you.

Get well soon.
