Oh, trust me, I tried, but unfortunately individual votes don't count here as much as people think. You see, we vote as individuals, then the electoral college gets to cast so many votes per state. They are supposed to do it by whoever had the majority of votes, but I don't think they do all the time. It's not actually required. I think that it would have been an even closer race this last time if it had been by popular vote only.
Of course, we probably could have picked a better Democratic candidate, but I didn't get my way with that one, either.
And we can't just kick out our President. He can only be impeached, and that impeachment may or may not lead to him being removed from office. So far, no one has managed to find anything impeachable with this president, although I'm sure it's from lack of real effort among the G.O.P. Unfortunately, a less than 50% approval rate doesn't mean anything. :-(

I love it when someone uses one person to describe an entire group of people. Some Americans love war, some hate it... some of us see there is reasoning behind some wars, such as protecting those who are weaker than the attacker.
But what I don't get, is why you constantly attack American. ALL Countries do this type of thing, if not to another country then to their own people. Not saying it's right, but I'm really tired of hearing how terrible america is while people in other countries are killing off their own citizens due to difference of religion... or bombing their villages because the new "king" wants the land for a friggin garden, etc...
When you are going to go against such things, you should at least be fair and do it to Everyone. Not just those you don't like. Otherwise, you look just as bad as the people you are complaining about.
As far as being proud, who said anything about all Americans being proud of what is happening? Obviously you don't live here and don't know what goes on in our own streets. So, again, you're looking bad for what you are complaining about. Just what nationality are you anyway? So that I can go around saying they all act like you. ^_^

Actually, the US president can be removed from office through impeachment. However, the US president cannot declare war. Only the US congress can declare war. It's all part of the US checks and balances. The US is at war because the majority of officials elected into congress voted to go to war. That's why you hear Congressmen and Senators now saying they were lied to and tricked into voting for the US to go to war.

Is this the right section for your question?
Americans aren't angry or outraged enough for that to happen(Well some are), if a larger segment of the population were, then something would happen, impeachment or resignation or something.
The ones who say those things probably are outraged and upset and truly hate war or the war. There are lots of americans who feel that way but they aren't the majority, why did they tell you they were?

Maybe your premise is wrong. Maybe the majority of Americans are not against war. Maybe Americans don't like other nations flying airplanes into their buildings. If everyone is against the government why did they get in for a second term. I think you would have one of the most unstable governments on earth if you just put a new president in every time you felt like it.

Our government is no longer answerable to the people of the U.S.A, instead they in effect listen to the multinational corporations.
Remember, those who run these large companies, like petroleum companies, have to answer to the stockholders, who want more money.
It is quite possible that these money making machines have broken from their leash. That is they are in control, with a mind of their own, as well as their own agenda, answering to no one, not even our government. In many cases they seem to have taken control of the government itself by controlling the minds of the people. It does this by confusing the people into seeing things their way. It can bombard them with propaganda and push their buttons. They can buy Politicians, Scientists, Broadcasters, Intelligence, Laws and Votes: whatever it takes to get their way. They may even be success-full in controlling information from the Internet soon.
About all we can do, is wait until the next election, and hope and pray that people are not fooled into supporting more of the same.
I have been surprised at how many people I know ,have fallen into the trap, not once but twice. The one common denominator I have found, about these people is that they don't exercise much or maintain a healthy diet: Rendering their minds weak and incorrigible by propaganda. This gets even worse as their bodies age and is no longer capable of burning sugar efficiently. Getting them off "junk food" has proved no easy task, sugar seems to be as addictive as any narcotics.

He still would have won.The people who vote are not the people you see in the news those are just the loudest.
Those that vote KNOW the necessity of the war to wipe out as many as possible of a growing non-national army who are cowards and will not face an enemy head on.If there were another way we would have done it.

in case you seem on the archives Bush did no longer have landslide elections. It signifies that a marginally tremendous area of the country did not vote for him yet for the different canidates. in reality a small area of the country is actual obtainable protesting. they are workout their rights lower than the first ammendment. there isn't any longer some thing incorrect with what they are doing. many of the protesters did not vote for Bush. Many merely adverse to the conflict did not vote for him both. united statesa. isn't a parradox. it really is the tale of a democracy--an area the position human beings have rights to imagine and beleive opposite to their leaders.

Becose the way the US goverment is set up the only way to get some one out of office is impeachment.... wich is a VERY difficult prossess to get started.
Trust me I voted agenst Bush every chance I have got, and if there was a way to vote him out... I would..... infact if there was a way to vote him out, he would have been a good year or two ago acording to his aproval rattings.
