God bless that person for trying to fight the addiction of heroin.
It will be a tough battle for the rest of one's life.

If that person is not in a program, then he should get into a program and find a sponsor - someone whom he can call up when the desire becomes too great - for he cannot always fight this addiction on his own.

That person can also find hobbies and things to do to keep his mind occupied so he doesn't have the chance to think about heroin.

If he has friends who do drugs, he would be better off not having anything to do with those friends because those friends could lead him back to using.

I will say prayers for him that he continues to live a clean life from now on.

That's a tough one. I'm not really sure there's anything you can do other than offer support and friendship without the guilt. Mostly I think they have to rely on themselves for inner strength. Just don't say anything that might make them feel bad. They may start taking again if their self worth deteriorates. Just tell them you love them, and show them so. Help them take up some activities they may enjoy, to keep their mind off of it. Hobbies could help a little with recovery, especially when done with someone close. Probably the best advice this person can get is from a drug counselor or psychologist. The rest of us are not well informed enough to know what will and will not work for the individual, and anything we could tell them might be superfluous at best, harmful at worst.

The best thing this person can do is stay alway from her so call friends who probably got her hook on the terrible drug...Let her know she can count on you 100% day or nite...Tell her shes alot better person and will be alot happy if she stay away from drugs.. And will beable to hold down a good job...And maybe meet a special guy who works and doesn't do drugs...Just let her know that everything is going to be alright and reinsure her than you are there for her...Just keep working with her and hopefully everything will be okay....I will say a pray for both of you....GOOD LUCK.....

You have to change your lifestyle. You can not stay off if it if you do not change some of the other factors in your life. If you have gotten some tx, you are ahead of the pack. You need to get some support from NA orAA and use this as a foundation. Need to change your old friend 's whom had used because they will want you to fail with them. Have to take it literally one day at a time. Any drug will take a lifetime of resisting once you have started using. Use family and positive freinds as a help t maintain.

sparkling your room, do your chores, come domicile at the same time as they are putting forward... and each thing in between! Is it no longer arduous to wrestle with all of them the time? Im effective they anticipate no longer some thing better than a deferential youthful female, and because that they are even providing to pay on your preparation i'd could assume you've a particularly ok set of parentals. merely wait it out for 2 years, you'd be satisfied you probably did in the longer time period. Be 16.

Many people I suppose will give you a bunch of advises..Well,I know what is heroin addiction, withdrawal and associated stuff..Listen if you have the inner strength and motivation to stay clean you will be..If you feel "tempted",I would recommend you to join some Group Therapy it really works..Don't start abusing with alcohol..and if you feel down, depressed, refer to the right persons, your family, closest clean friends..Be wise..think of yourself..Good luck and I hope to stay clean !!!

I would start by letting them know that I am proud of them for accomplishing such a difficult task, and for their own well being, I hope they stay clean. I'd let them know that if they need help - I'm here. Then I would ask them why they would want to throw away everything they have accomplished as far as getting clean. And then I would LISTEN to whay they have to say.

one day at a time, you have made the choice to be clean now stick to it. Give them as much support as you can. Tell them that they are on a journey and it all begins with one step then another, and remind them of where they were and that everyday they don't use is another day closer to happiness.

Keep encouraging them by congratulating them. Remind them that it is a process and you have to take it one day at a time. If they are having a hard time, take their minds off their troubles and go see a movie, go to an amusement park or just talk. Try to be a supportive friend.

Tell the person he's doing great and to stay the hell away from it. Or else, he'll be starting from zero again. Perhaps you could entice him to get high on sports, not drugs.
