I (american) completely agree with you that our country has been completley out of line in trying to be the worlds "big brother". You should know that your mirror will only show what is shown to it. My mirror would show acceptance and love for all people. I was deeply disturbed by one of your previous posts. Please dont think that americans actually have a voice in whether or not we go to war! How would you feel if I was one of the closeminded americans that thinks that just because you are middle eastern, you know the terrorists and can make them stop if you want. I can't even begin to understand what it feels like to live in a warring country, my condolensces to you and yours. But remember that not seeing all sides of the story is one of the problems that led us to where we are today. You are obviously very upset, and for good reason. So I would like to personally appologize to you for the occupation, although I have absolutely no control over it. By opening our eyes and truly thinking about things before we believe them, we might eventually be able to achieve peace. I wish you, and your family, and Iraqi and American troops peace. Please rethink your hatred for all americans and know that there are many of us here that agree with YOU rather than our own government. By finding a way to see that no culture as a whole is inherantly evil and that every individual is different and needs to be respected, you too will be a part of the path to peace. Sorry, we were minding our own business as much as the next country when we were attacked. Wouldn't you get a little upset if thousands of the citizens of your country were killed for absolutely no good reason whatsoever? You so you're not a terrorist, so you don't hate us the way that they do, right? You wouldn't want to see our innocent civilians burning up in flames, right?

Well, we don't go out and kill civilians, at least if we can help it, but we are retaliating to the threat against us. I'm a pretty peace-loving person myself, but I think that as long as terrorists are allowed to have their way without any consequences, they will keep doing what they do. I wish that we could invent some kind of biochemical weapon that would read the minds of people first, find out if they have harmful intentions towards innocents of any kind, and then eliminate them. I think there'd be less deaths that way, overall. Then I could go back to my nice peaceful life without worrying if I should take the flight I'm planning, without looking around airports in suspicion, without worrying that there will be another attack soon.

The U.S. has NOT started wars, as a matter of fact, American avoided being in wars to begins with!. I can't recall about WWI but if you know your history, the reasons why we joined WWII is because we were attacked! in Pearl Harbor!! by just sitting in the sidelines.

If you feel the U.S. should not be involved in helping others who are oppressed, think of how much worse the world would be with Hitler, Hussein, and all the other dictators, maybe you think that would make it better? The needless killing of innocent people....you know, like terrorists do for a living.

Not all Americans are in agreement with the policies of the U.S. Administration. As a matter of fact, most Americans are not satisfied with the way the country is being run. And they also just want to live in peace. If you are angry with America, focus your anger where it belongs--with those in charge of the country and not the people.

2. do you think Kuwaiti people like Americans?? How about the South Koreans - where 50000 American soldiers saved their *** from communist North (and look at the North Koreans now). How about Europe - where people hate Americans like craaaaazzzy - especially the French who let the Germans walk in to their country w/o a fight because they were too scared of Hitler!!! The Americans lost millions of lives to help the world rid Nazism. Or maybe we can talk about the West Germans who had their bacon saved from being taken over from the Soviets!!! Look at the lives of East GErmany versus West Germans or the lives of South Koreans versus North Koreans!!!!!! and THAN - who give billions of dollars to Europe to help them rebuild (the Marshall Plan). What about all the Mexicans trying to sneak in along the border????? What about Japan who sneaked into Pearl Harbour and bombed their base killing over 3000 men in an attempt to take over the world?? America beat them in the war and got their UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!!!!!!!!!!! Did they take over Japan???? Geez no!!!! They helped them rebuild - gave them their democracy and wouldn't you know it - they are the second most powerful economy in the world. America can't even get them to lower their goddamn trade tarriffs or the strength of their currency never mind take them over. But sometimes to have Peace there must be war. America has used it's military around the world to spread the democratic process sometimes with success (Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, Bosnia, Germany ) and sometimes not (Vietnam, Somalia ) but NEVER have they tried to commandeer a country to make it become part of their "Empire" like the Romans, Spainairds, British, Ottoman (Islamic) and recently the Soviets. They always did their job and left later when the country was able to stable itself. As the main superpower of the world it has a resposibility to police the world and stop tyranny. There has never ever been a superpower as fair in the world in that sense since history began. Every super power has always tried to take over the world except the U.S.
