"I am The Lord thy God, Go unto the city of Fallujah, Iraq and preach my word to the people"..... would you go?

I asked to see how quickly people would just accept it as a voice of a "god". If a booming voice from the sky or a burning bush started chatting me up, i would start looking for megaphones and miniature microphones, not packing up my undies and heading for the airport.

Thats exactly my point in your last question. God asks people to do this thing all the time, and if he asked me my first response would be, NO WAY! I don't want to die. See- lack of faith. I don't trust that doing God's will is right (but it logically can't be wrong). Thats why prayer is so important. It's not to "get in good" with God, but it's to conform our own hearts and desires so they line up with His.

No! If I claim to hear booming voices from the sky they will lock me up, in a padded cell.

God sent Jonah to preach repentance to Nineveh.
its been done before. They have had a couple thousand years to change their ways.

These days, I would agree. Microphones make it too easy to fake stuff like that!

However, I wouldn't do it anyway. I'm not Christian, and Wiccans don't preach to anyone unwilling to listen. (In other words, you have to ask first.)
