GOD is the Creator, not the creation. We are the creation. So there is no way he can be among his creation because he is the Creator.
He is to be worship. No way can anyone in this world imagined what it would be if GOD was among us. Even in heaven GOD will always be above us.

God created us,and everyone of us holds a part of Him ..I am not radical or too religious,but I do believe in God and as to your queston philosophically we can say that He actually live with us,around us..At any rate,for me it's clear that we must be good,open to others,helpful and that's the way we'll survive in that time of conflicts,wars..Just believing in God and His mercy and trying to be humble..GOod luck!
