To finish the mission. To leave now would be saying that all our troops have died in vain.

What makes you think we had plan to leave ?
Bush has been a liar all his life. As a spoiled rich kid, he's never had to be accountable for any of his actions. His daddy kept him out of harm's way while it appeared he was in military service. With the help of his brother Jeb, and his daddy's friends on the Supreme Court, he stole one election (maybe 2).
He's a former drug user and chronic alcohol abuser (his daddy saved him more than once from getting a DUI).
George Bush lies when the truth fits best. He's arrogant, smug, stupid, and incredibly self-centered.
There are only TWO reasons Bush initiated an illegal, unconstitutional ar with Iraq: 1) he wanted to 'get even' for Hussein's humiliating his daddy during Desert Storm, and 2) Dick Cheney wants all the oil swimming underneath Iraq' sand.

Bush lies about troop withdrawal. He will NEVER withdraw any troops until Dick Cheney has an iron-clad deal in place to get all of Iraq's oil for his rich friends at Halliburton and Exxon-Mobil.

When Bush faces TV cameras, his "deer-in-the-headlights' look gives him away every time. He KNOWS he's lying, and it's as if he's waiting for some card-carrying NRA member to shoot him right between the eyes.

Bush and Cheney should be impeached, or tried for high treason. If convicted, the should face a firing squad. Surely, Satan has reserved a special iol-saturated corner of Hell for Bush, Cheney and most members of the current U.S. Congress, the most corrupt, incompetent body to ever occupy the Capitol Building.

Don't just see what the media is trying to put in front of your eyes. example: Oil. If you dig more into it, there are tactical reasons like having U.S troops in the Middle East which will provide easy access to the surrounding countries. Another good reason is: to be closer to china from his right flank. But you have mind games reasons too. But don't just see the Uncle Sam part of the story. Know that we are helping people out there and the media don't show what really is being done over there.

Ego satisfaction of Bush and internally to divert huge oil stock of Iraq towards America. These may the visible reasons, but the possibility cannot be ruled out about the US being desirous of keeping a vigil on the Asian countries from the vicinity of their neighbourhood, which could be very economical for the US.

Apart from the oil, what is the actual objective of the war. You have given the stated objectives but we all know these are false.

I suppose the troops will stay until the Israelis are satisfied

Just when might that be bwc. When did the us do anything that didn't benefit them in some way?

Gathering more intel on Syria and Iran. Making sure the oil-fields of the Caucasus are close (sorry but oil is a big reason, can't avoid it).Making sure the so-called 'evil' Muslim nations know Uncle Sam is around and that 'freedom' and 'democracy' are as American as apple-pie and Arnold Schwarzenegger .

Now, I want you all to THINK. If we were to pull out NOW, with Iraq in the shape its in and are enemies there, what do you think would happen? A power vaccuum? To be filled by whom?
If you understand the strategy for the war on terror, and if you understood what al-qaida's goals are, I think the question as per why we won't forfeit to them wouldn't be so debated.

Go back and look in your history books and you will see that America has been "big brother"( and by big brother I mean the one you call to whoop the bullys ***) to the world since the begining. We have always stuck up for the opressed and downtrodden, but yet everone forgets that.
