To conclude that others are heartless is a reflection of your inner state of pain. The thoughts and actions of others may indeed be painfull if you allow it to be so. A closer and more loving apporach is to realize that all attack is a call for help and that most people you meet are basically unconsicous of their true nature.
The best solution is to meditate and feel your inner consciousness which is the source of all wisdom.

Wrath of God? Well... if one would use that term, then they do not know Him. It is kind of like when a father would be quite blunt to give a lesson to his child, but the child takes it as an offence. We are who we are. If you judge, then you make yourself like who ever that is in your mind that you have come to hate. I say in your mind, because it is all how you percieve things. It is your world that your mind creates, you know. Cheers!
