Be honest and say no one knows but explain to her with an example. ask her if shes ever had a fruit and asked why was it sweet. you dont question why it tastes the way it does you just enjoy it. tell her not to question Gods maker just enjoy the fact that he exists and appreciate his love for her. whisper how its a secret and someday when it is her time she will meet god and he will tell her personally over cookies and milk

Don't tell me that you are ready to lie your 5 year old kid!
"Who made God"? You simply don't know the answer for the question. That is your truth.
In the question asked there is no (who), there is no (made), but only God.
Who makes humans? Humans.
Animals makes animals.
Plants makes other plants.
There is only one God.

Tell him/her that no one made God but He was here from the beginning. He is the creator if all things and there is no question to it...even though in a 5-year-old kid's life, there is a question to everthing. LOL

First of all, God is not made by one. The source of heat on Earth is the Sun. Who ceated the Sun? God. Who created mankind? God. Who created the universe? God. We r used 2 a source of everything. But we must accept God is not a creation by a source.

Kids are so much fun! Tell her there will be a time she will be able to ask God himself. Tell her that no one knows that answer but God and I am quite sure that will work for a while. I know that is who I will ask when my time comes.

When I was five years old my mother told me that God always existed and I didn't have any trouble understanding or accepting that. What is the problem?

Wow... Your 5-year-old has asked what millions of people never ask in their whole lives. You should be proud! You've obviously got a great child there!

if your child is like I was, then there has to always be something that created something else, a circular argument. Try explaining that there must have been some 'first' something that created everything else. that something is God
