My startpage has been highjacked, and it seems to be the most unlikely of people... Microsoft itself. Icheck in my internet tool options and in the registry and all checks out. Both list http://verizon.yahoo.com/ as my startpage... well not technically, tool options lists my homepage, registry lists my startpage. The page that comes up when I attempt to use Internet Explorer is: http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us. What is going on here, it's bad enough that microsoft should hold such a monopoly... now they've taken away this! LOL... Anyone know what's goin' on here? 'Cause I sure don't.

P.S. Have ran antivirus and 3 diff antispy, so please no suggestions that are obvious... I'm beggin' ya NO ANSWERS THAT SOUND LIKE YOUR TALKING TO AN INFANT PC USER. I'VE BEEN BEHIND THE WHEEL OF MICROSOFT PC MACHINES SINCE BEFORE U NEW THEY EXISTED.

Thanx,

Your friendly neighborhood former self declared Microsoft user expert

Have you scanned your PC online through Microsoft website? Is your Windows genuine?
This is most likely a spyware problem. Have the very latest MacAfee and if viruses are found clean it.
And after reboot it will work fine. I hope this solves b/c I have had this problem before.

It means you need to update your microsoft browser. It's not hijacking. Microsoft just released new stuff, i.e patches or other security tools, for your microsoft system. Just click the link where you need to update it. That's how microsoft works. They always need to update their stuff so no hackers crack their system. They do it more than once in a month. Do that!
And thanks for reminding me. I need to update my IE browser. I actually use both firefox and IE. Some stuff just don't work with firefox. And it (firefox) is much better than IE. Trust me!
