my mate has fancied this boy for AGES! and she just doesn't have the guts to ask this guy out... they like each other... so how can i convince her?

help her out by making friends with the guy adn telling him that she likes him! i think if he likes her too he'll make the first move

It seems like that your friend is reluctant either because she is afraid of rejection ( most likely cause ) or because she has other options on her mind ... there can be other explations for her hesitation as well but whats more important is that if she has fancied him for so long than its time she should ask this guy out ... she might need some encouragement .. maybe more than just encouragement ( like a little push ) ... being her friend you must help her out .. if you think that they should give it a try ( which I also agree with ) ... than play around with the scenario a little bit ... fix a meeting or a hang out session ... make them notice each other first ... and at that point in time, your little encouragement will help her, reach out for what she has been wanting all along ....

How you do this is partly dependant on your ages... What are their's , don't care about yours.
Its just so we know how wild to go.
at basic level.
If they genuinely like and fancy each other but both shy... Start plotting and get sneakey in conspiracy with others...
Ie arrange with both your mates to set up a date trap...
Ie the lets go to the cinema then you lot dissappear and leave them on the back seat or shut them in a closet that they can breathe in.
Or you could tell he if she don't move on him you will not only tell him she fancies her but all her fantasies on what she would like to do to him and him to do to her and make up some good stuff that would shock porn stars.
Or put up J loves B posters and get a first printout to show...
Evil for a good cause.
Set up a boys vs girls wrestling match to see who is better and set the two the two up as opponents. Maybe accidently spilling a drink of water over her thin white top just before... Ie get them physical.
Give her tricks like the I get fix my wetsuit can you help excuse to get him to cop a feel.
Get sneaky.

Convince him to do the honourable thing. It doesn't seem right if they both like each other and you know, that she should have to ask.
Alternately set them up, i.e. a meeting at your place where you suddenly need to go somewhere, when both parties arrive.

Just tell her that she's got nothing to lose! If she doesn't make a move, she's gonna end up regretting it.
If they both like eachother, like you say, then what are they waiting for?! If she doesn't ask him out, maybe try and convince him to ask her out.

say to her that this guy really likes you and talk to the guy to convince him that she likes him back.Get them two to meet up and if your mate is not confident enough go with her then leave them two alone to talk things over and see how it goes from there.
