--->Whatever created the universe, a force that guides things outside of people? No one ever said God was a guy with a beard. As a matter of fact, YHVH, the hebrew name for God, simply means " I am that I am" or in other words, a clue not to try to define God, ON THE CONTRARY, the force that caused and guides the laws of universe DEFINES US. I mean, DUU-UUH.

People who think they are the most powerful and meaningful force in the universe just piss me off. What SCIENTIFIC ignorance! It is impossible to be an athiest and a scientist. You know, the religions we are used to are not the end-all say all in "defining" *man i hate that* GOD. Listen, whatever started the universe and provides the construct in which we live is GOD. Thats what it means, right? Not a who or a what but only "I am that I am".

Let me reiterate. If the definition of GOD is simply "Force more powerful than human will" along with "Force that pushed all things into existance", Then 2 ?s for you....

1) Are you the most powerful force in the universe

and

2) Does the Universe exist? Did it have a beggining?

Assuming that the respective answers are "no","yes" and "yes", then does not this prove the faults of Atheism? Provided I have an analytical and scientific mind (I am a Genetic Biology major), What about the word "God" freaks people out? Is it all the Ignorant Doctrine that has been forced upon people over history? I am lacking logical empathy with anyone who thinks that There was not a Mathmatical Constant that is responsible for existance, one whos laws, being physics, cause and effect, The very structure of Nature, do not limit us. Otherwise, we would be able to shapeshift walk on water tie baloons together with out minds, create matter out of a vacuum and know everything in the Cosmos. Open up!

Why is it so difficult for some people to keep their faith to themself?

Only those of like-minded thinking agree with you, and that doesn't make you right. That's just logic.

When you say YHVH, you're refering to the image of god as described in the Old Testament.
Am I supposed to believe in the Illiad and every other scrap of text that was written 1700 to 3000 years ago? So why the Old Testament?
When you can back up your opinion up with facts, I'll listen and learn. But until then, my copy of the bible shall remain next to the koran, buddhist texts, the bhagavad gita and the fairy tales of Hans Christian Anderson. Great books, the lot of them.

Why do some people want to force such a limited "belief" on other people who aren't limited to kiddie logic?

How do you know that existence isn't reality and time and creation arent products of a limited mind?

Its like a baby in a crib crying "why cant people agree that my bars are the limits of the universe".

the name YHVH actually is a acronym for the 4 names of God. 2 of the names were male, 2 of the names were female. God came into existence for the same reason as Rene Decartes "I think therefore I am."

Uhh, who created god, if someone had to create the universe and all things have to be created. And who created that thing, and so forth? Why is it harder to believe the universe was always there than god was always there?

Something always comes from nothing.

But remember: you don't see the world as it is--you see it how you are.
