One of my cats throws up a lot. It happens to a lot of cats. If they have hairballs and start gagging, they tend to panic and as a result make the gagging worse until they throw up. I did notice she tends to throw up more if she eats something other than her cat food...I used to let her eat some bits of mussels and that always made her throw up, so I stopped.

Cats eat greens to aid in digestion and assist with the elimination of hairballs. Unfortunatelly, they cant tell the difference between plants that are good for them and those that are not and will end up chewing anything green.

Check your house plants... you should find evidence there if they have been at them. You can do an internet search and check if the plant is harmful to the kitty. If it is, I suggest contacting the vet for further instructions.

I would be concerned if there is any drooling. Cats normally dont drool and it's a symptom usually ascribed to toxicity.

If you used one of the over the counter flea drops I would rush to the vet. They have been found to be a major source of pet poisoning, even following the instructions for use! Dont use them!

If you used one of the major brands of flea drops, make sure you place it at the back of the head since they can reach between the shoulders and lick it off. This can poison them as well since it's supposed to be trans dermal not oral. In that case, wash it off (good luck!) and dont re apply for a month.

It may help to buy some kitty grass at the pet store. You can grow a little can of it on your window sill. Just let 'em at it or cut the greens and mix it with their food. They'll apppreciate it.

Good luck with the kitty!

Cats just sometimes do this. But I have found that cheaper foods make them do this more. I switched to Iams or a organic food and no more throwups!
