The Da Vinci Code book/movie is a buch of stuff some one made up... if that damages the church its only becose the people had little faith to start out with.

The theries the guy puts up is just that christ had some kids..... and thats not all that damaging.... not realy a big hidden secret... people have therized that could be possable for quite some time.

The Da Vinci Code is about the belief of some people that Jesus had a child. I don't know why it should offend some people.

If God had children, why can't the Son of God have a child?

Most importantly, the lead character (Langdon) makes sure that the secret should never come out because it might hurt people's belief system.

And the Opus Dei is not shown in poor light either. The head never really asked the albino man to kill those people; he wanted the secret to be destroyed, that's all.

People, please read the book before you fight about it.

The Da Vinci Code is just bad fiction. The Catholic Church will survive it.

Just a piece of fiction cleverly making false claims which looked real to those who were not very well educated on historical facts. Those claims were not being backed up by evidence anyway, people have done research on it.

People have been trying to deny Christ's position as Son of God ever since 2000 years ago when He came to this world as a man. Not a surprise since it happens so many times. What people should be in awe of is how the Truth managed to survive for 2000 years until today and had withstanded so many claims which tried to deny that Christ is real.

The Davinci code an injury ? No the church is slowly self-imploding on it's own stupidity. It's like they have a communitive deathwish. Recovering Catholic I can say that. Had they left the Davinci Code alone and dealt with the Bishop/Alterboys scandle they'd have a leg to stand on. A work of fiction has gotten more attention then gnostic gospels, come on, exhale.

my church talked on the subject. The Da Vinci code is stating Jesus has a blood line, therefore it stating he is just another average joe. If everyone started believing that, where is the faith , the mircles,Heaven, answered prayers !
Jesus is real. and is always there for you.He loves you.

No, it's not a threat. The book is a blend of fact and fiction, and simply says that it's okay to think critically and question religion. It's not saying Christianity is right or wrong, just that it's okay to question it.

Nope. Its a crock and is already being forgotten. The Church is still going strong over 2,000 years later.

It raises questions, and everything that raises questions is injuring the Church since it's based on dogmas.
