Nothing created God. God was always there. Even before there was anywere to be God was there. As well as the Word (Jesus) and God's Spirit.
The cause and effect argument can be confusing but it is the only arguement that makes sense.
Unless ofcourse God somehow created Himself by using His powers to create Himself in the past so that He would exist in the Past, Present and Future in a continuous loop. Kind of like a paradox or something so that God would forever exist by creating Himself in the past to exist for eternity.
REMEMBER: This is just a theory of mine and it is NO WERE in the Bible (as far as I know) so it is definately NOT anywere near as reliable as the Bible itself.

A book on cosmology says people ask how long before the world was created and how far beyond physical universe do things extend. Book explains that those questions make no sense since time and space exist only in physical universe. So elsewhere time does not exist.
Imagine nothing. How long has it existed. In physical universe you can measure time with movement. With no movement you cannot measure time but there isn't any time outside of universe. See site below with science fused in with religion for your relationship with time and how this affects your hapiness.

People created god. We gregarious as we are, cannot in the masses handle the fact that we are here alone, for no purpose, or reason, just random events. Look at how people operate, and how the world operates, it constantly being put in order by people, organized, and categorized. That's what we do, and look at the universe, absolute chaos, so we have god to put some organization to it. That's my take

I asked on an intellectual board once who or what created the creator. After 75 pages of bickering between creationists and evolutionists i came to the conclusion that the universe is the chicken and who am i to ask where that came from? We're here cause it laid an egg :-)

No one person created god. All early civilisations believed in gods in one sense or the other. If you're talking about the Christian god, then Jesus created him or at last altered peoples percpetion of him

God was created by someone to explain the unknown to us humans. This worked well until science began explaining the unknown a lot better.

They say that "God" created humans in his (how about her?) image, which would make god out to be cruel, homicidal, violent, psychopathic, and a few other choice things. I think humans created god in their image. All three major monotheistic religions have a different view of their god that matches their own conceits.
