As far as I know, there are no states in Canada, only provinces, of which I believe there are 10, and also three territories.

Just looked this up for you: the provinces are Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. The three territories are the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon.
