India is big. Very big! If we visited one place and dislike it, please don't judge it just yet.

There are old colonial style of building, snow covered mountian, deep moonsoon jungle, desert, beaches, morden cities etc. It depend on what your interest is.

Afterall, India is such a culturally rich nation, and one of the ancient country. Of cause it is world a visit.

In Thailand, it is very near to go China too, or east to Vietnam/ Cambodia, south to Malaysia/ Singapore. West to Burmer.

I understand in 2 yrs time, there will be a road from India to Thailand. It will brings you to the beautiful north-east India. These people are very fair, and look like the Chinese.

Personally, my first trip to India was bad. I was in Kolkata. It was a city with beautiful old building built by the British in the 18th century. But the city is so depressing, with lot's of poor people lying on the streets.

I have work in slum in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine and Thailand. But none of the poor I have seen can compare to Kolkatta.

However, my buddy from Dehli who was also first time in Kolkatta with me was equally shock of what we have seen! He told me he never ever imagine there is such a thing in India!

After I went to the north east, things are much better there. And I began to believe that India is far bigger than Kolkatta. I will visit there again, if i have just half the chance.

India is truly amazing. it offers all that u want. it has the mountains, forests, desert, beaches, bustling city life to calm & virgin places.

its very large so u need to first choose the kind of holiday u want. if u want a religiuos trip then go to the north, heritage culture then go to rajasthan ( though its very hot right now), mountains ( again the north and if u want to go some place really different then kerela it is.

first u should figure out ur budget and the no. of days & then u can plan accordingly.

I do not think so. It is too dirty. If you want to stay in some decent hotels, you probably need to pay US$400-600 per night.
