What a briliant peice of lateral thinking. Unfortunately they don't exist, at least not in humans.
There are two big reasons there are no adipocyte viruses have never evolved.
The first is that targetting adipocytes has no survival value. All cell type specific viruse shave evolved that specificity because it gives them an advantage of some kind. Viruses that target the throat promote their own spread when the victim coughs. Viruses that target white blood cells ensure their own survival because their target cells come to them. Viruses that a target the digestive tract or lungs have an advantage because they can directly infect those areas without exposing themselves ot the immune systems.
A virus that targets just adipocytes gains no advatange by doing so. It won't spread faster, it isn't shielded form the imune system, there is simply no advantage to that specificty as opposed to just being able to infect every cell type.
The second problem is that adipocytes reproduce very, very slowly. Virsues are dependent on host cells for thier own reproduction and targetting slowly reproducing cells means they have limited reproductive capacity themselves.
With genetic engineering I'm sure we could produce an adipocyte specific virus, but it will never evolve sponataneously.

Maybe Ebola works that way. I'm not sure of the exact way it works but I know the body turns to jello and bleeds out in 4-7 hours or days depending on if it is the Sudan or Zaire strain. It wouldn't be a good way to lose weight if it didn't kill anyway. What good is thin if all your stuff is hanging on the floor. Speaking as a men, I like a nice firm body like the kind that comes from being active. So if you're looking to reduce your butt, get it off the couch.

Viruses aren't good for us. If there was a virus that ate at our fat, I think we'd ****** die the same way anorexics do. But such a nice thought to find a quick way to get thin without having to do any work, eh?

they may not kill fat but fat cells r killing the viruses
A natural compound found in coconut oil and packaged in a special gel can destroy sexually transmitted bacteria and viruses, including the AIDS virus HIV, in laboratory experiments, Icelandic scientists said Tuesday. Monocaprin is a simple fat but when it is dissolved in a gel it can kill HIV, herpes viruses and chlamydia, the bacteria linked to infertility.

You can certainly kill the cell, but the adipocyte has a giant globule (like an inclusion body) - a fat droplet. This might make it into your bloodstream. Better diet and absorb the fat...

Hmmm that would be cool for a day or two only. There is a flesh eating bacteria though that could take care of a couple of pounds.

That would be very dangerous because a cell's membrane is made up of a lipid bi-layer. Lipid = fat. It wouldn't be pretty.

The sudden removal of lipid cells from your body equates to that of 3rd degree burns. If there is, you will die.
