EVERYTHING effects the condition of your hair. Sun, wind, air, water, hairspray, mousse, gel, you name it! Your hair is black, naturally I assume, a moisturizing shampoo and a great conditioner can go a long way. Protecting your hair from the elements can do you one better.
Gels, mousses, hairspray all have alchohol in them, it's what makes them dry fast. But it damages your hair. When you want a sleek straight look, go to a balm or a serum, they are oil based, and do less damage.
Hope this helps!

put olive oil in your hair and blowdry for a few minutes and let it sit in your hair for an hour and then rinse it out and shampoo and condition...it works wonders and its way cheap
