No, we don't. But hey, I'm not here to spread dissention. But I am here to defend the truth.

Are you new to this planet or just this site? Either way read just a few of these posts and then tell me that we all believe in the same God. Or go outside your little closet and visit the real world. Please for your health’s sake don't go overseas and tell the Muslim or the Buddhist or the Taoist or the Jew or the Hindu or the Catholic or the wiccan that Jesus is Lord and the (only) way, the (only) truth and the (only) life. (which He is) You might just have your head handed to you as a free gift in your trial membership into the religious tolerance society. Some people take their god pretty seriously, much more than you apparently do.

I don't usually respond when there are already so many answers, but on this question I'll make an exception. Your reasoning is flawed horribly. We do not worship the same God, allah is a moon god & had 3 daughters. This makes him a false god & no god at all. Jesus said "I Am the Door to the sheepfold, if any man tries to enter by any other way (religion, works or a false god), he is the same as a thief & a robber." "I Am the Way, the Truth & the Life, no man comes to the Father but by Me." Jesus made Salvation Candidates an Elite Group, that is why He is hated by other religions, He left them out. They are going to Hell and refuse to accept Him & be Saved. Cult groups are the same, by definition, they have some false doctrine about Jesus. Some say He is created, lesser than the Father, not virgin born, the half brother of satan, His Sacrifice was incomplete & they have to add their works to it to be saved, He sinned, rose from the dead Spiritually & not physically and the list can go on much farther. Jesus did it all, rose from the dead by His Own Power and ascended to the Father by His Own Power & is now seated at God's Right Hand. He said "The world hates Him & we need not be surprised that it hates us as well." Nobody gets to Heaven by any other Way than Him.

As a Hellenist who's a no longer basic inclusive polytheist ( the Hellenist who're no longer basic unique polytheist have a marginally distinct attitude ) i have were given self perception that each and each faith are the similar pantheon of Gods coming all the way all the way down to guy, setting up distinct mysteries and understand-how of Them outfitted to the way of existence, the geography, the evolutionary element of those human beings. i have were given self perception firmly that Zeus and Yahweh are one and the similar, depending upon how the ancients perceived them interior the previous and how i have were given self perception the presence of Yahweh at the same time as i'm in church. Jesus some ought to say ought to correctly be one and the similar as Dionysus, inspite of the easy undeniable actuality that some human beings say that he's a divinized mortal. i'm on the facet that he's a divinized mortal.

We can get along together, but religions have an inherent flaw....people. People have selfish motives, fanaticism and often become dogmatic on secondary issues blinding them to the base of what they believe.
Due to the mutual exclusivity of say...Buddhism, Islam, and Judaism/Christianity...we don't all believe in the same God. The God of Orthodox christianity is not the same god as that of mormonism, Jehovah's witnesses, or other theological cults. The god's of Hinduism are not the god's of Christianity, Islam and judaism based on it's polytheism. study the world religions and you will quickly understand that the god's represented in them are VASTLY different: Christians and many Jews view God as trancendant and relatable, muslims view it other wise. Even within the religions there are distinctions...the worlds major religions aren't as monolithic as they would seem.

Because the world is big, and people never conversed with other countries a long time ago let alone had a way to, everyone developed their own cultures along with religion and belief which is molded into modern day religion.. and since so many people have so much faith in so many different things, there's not really a way to make them think somthing different

If you mean people of different Christian denominations it's because the Devil sows the seeds of dissension in the body of Christ along with placing false Christians in churches.

Then having dismissed the crowds, Jesus went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field." He answered and said to them: "He that sows the good seed is the Son of Man. And the field is the world, and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the evil one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore just as the tares are gathered and burned with fire, thus it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who work iniquity, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 13:36-42

If you mean that all religions worship the same God, then you would be incorrect in that statement. All religions don't worship Jesus.

I agree with you. Every god stems from the same place. Even the extremely rare ones that dont, all religions believe basially the same thing and live by the same set of rules, just put diffrently.

What I dont understand is the religions who have the exact same moral values, but they cant accept the other one because they worship the same god. What does it matter which god you choose to worship as long as you are a good person?

umm. Because religion is a form of business and there in competition? I really don't know why some denominations strike out at other denominations. As far as the people go, people don't get along with each other in general anyways and I don't think religion has much to do with it most of the time.

People may believe in the same God. But different religon's teach different aspects and discriptions of God. THe meaning or understanding of who God is is a very sensitive topic and there are few who belong to different religions that can readily agree on knowing the same God.

The God's are not the same, but I believe that people don't get along because there is always someone that will exploit differences in order to gain power or money. Most of us would gladly stay home and worship our own God untill someone comes along and enflames people's emotions against another group.
