Has anyone been to Bumrungrad hospital in Bankok? How was it?

I'd be very interested to see how many folks have used them for medical tourism, and how the overall experience was.

I am an expat and BH is the best hospital I have seen or been in.. I have accompanied friends and the service is great [never knew anyone to wait more than an hr as a walk-in] and the care spot on.. Equipt is state of the art - Atmosphere is Hilton Hotel.. I recently went for a heart check-up - mri, stress test, chest x-ray, they even sent me to a gastroenterologist because I thought I had a hernia - a nurse walked me from one examination room to the next!! - and there was an exam by the doc before and after.. and it was all $200.. and I had eaten already so I had to stop back the next morn for my bloodwork... In USA they wanted 4-7 days to analyze my blood - BH had it in one hour.. - I think it is well less than half the price in USA and better, classier etc.. I have many other stories but suffice it to say that I am totally impressed with every aspect... and if it is medical tourism for you - you could not pick a lovelier country to be in...

My wife and I have used their facilities and I would place it above any Hospital I have used in the USA. All the doctors speak English. You can walk in off the street and be seing a doctor within a half hour. You are given a complete medical rerport in English with your bill when you are ready to leave the hospital. Prices are very reasonable but may not be covered by some insurance such as Medicare.

Hi, I had not been there, but as I understand, they provide first class service to the patients. They practically pamper them and those who had been there were quite surprise at the attention they received.

The hospital had the services of some of the top doctors in Thailand, and even international advisors. So their medical service had been rated as among the tops in this SE Asian region.

Some described their stay in the hospital as being in a resort with spa and massages readily available. And nursing staff on hand at all time.
