Do all gay men look/act in a way feminine or can there be guys that you'd never say he is gay when in fact he is!

A lot of what people perceive as "gay" is really an exaggerated stereotype portrayed by the media and isn't an accurate representation of homosexuality in it's truest sense. Many times effeminate men are very attracted to women and have no sexual or romantic interest in persons of the same gender. Conversely, there are instances when extremely "macho" looking men are in fact gay. Of course there are those who do fit the stereotypical gay persona; but, like personality, this is much more dependent on the individual than it is on his sexual orientation :).

I personally was in this 4 year realtionship with a very straight looking young man, eventhough I would often catch his femme sides/manners, I was in total denial until I found out he was total gay material. He turned out to be gay and lied to ne all this time when he could of stopped things right off the start and not lost my time or his. Oh well ,but do be careful as well as there are men, there are women too.

Oh my goodness at the stupid questions that are asked on here. Not every gay man acts like a sissy. And just because your gay doesnt mean that you have better taste in clothes and that you are a fabulous decorator. Have you ever seen the show queer eye for the whatever? They are tasteless but everyone gets into the show just because they are gay. Come on and get a clue.

There definitely not a "look". There are more effeminate gay men, and they seem to get all the press. ;) But there are plenty of gay men who have the whole macho body-building thing going on, complete with deep voice, beard, and Harley. I know one! ;)

yes and vice versa... there's a little, oh what's it called transference, reaction formation... one of those psychological terms... basically some gay guys will go the extra mile to be totally macho, overcompensating, joining the military, getting in fights, having sex with women just to be "macho" but they are still ultimately homosexual. and then my FAVORITE... the little skinny effeminate heterosexuals... who decry homosexuality as a complete abomination and go join their nearest southern baptist church... all because they feel so insecure about being wee little foo foo men. and then of course there are bisexuals... pfsshhhh... dont' even get me started...

Definitely. I happen to know a person that is married and have children too... but he said he prefers guy. I myself confused and he does not look gay but like a normal father figure!!

Rock Hudson. He was biggest Hollywood hunk of his day and he was gay as they come. Joseph McCarthy. He persecuted gays as well as commies and it turns out he was actually gay. Talk about a closet case.

I have seen them act all sorts of ways. Some act like women , some act like men.JUST DEPENDs on the person.

yes. my friend acts sooooo straight. he told everyone he was gay not too long ago. i was really surprised!
