There is no way to prove that the bible, or any other holy book is true! Thats why crazed Fundamentaist are just plain ignorant and brain washed! In fact, the Christian bible has been edited several times by the Roman Catholic Church. Alot of stupid kids are going to say that they arent Catholic, however before the reformation, the only bible was the Catholic bible...after that people started using different holy books! Did you know there was a story in the bible claiming that Jesus pushed a child off a roof when he was a child? Just something to ponder!
Short ansnwer, no way to know for sure.

It's not a hundred percent true!!!
When you consider that the first scriptures where written in ancient times, from Adam and Eve to Noah and Moses - the fact that they have been translated from Hebrew, to Latin, to Greek over and over again - the fact that some of the writings where influenced by politics, such as the Roman Empire and the Catholic Church (every church has politics whether you want to believe it or not) - the fact that the bible is a collection of religious writings (written by multiple authors) and not a book in itself - the fact that there are many different versions on the bible and that depending on which religion, there are different definitions to certain terms or phrases used in the bible.
So...take what you will! The Bible is not a pure book, but it has good intentions. It was not written by God, but by man! It is just as impure as us, sons and daughters of God!
- - - - -
The outline and general message of love and tolerance is true (as you believe it to be) and is from god, but the actual text and accuracy is screwed up! Something that has been around for that long is bound to have something wrong with it!
There was never any regulations for the bible in ancient times - anyone could change the book and reproduce it if they wanted! Maybe not in large quantities, but they could change it none the less.
There where many religious books that where not added to the bible when it was compiled because there where beliefs in those books that where contrary to the majority belief in the church at that time! The Bible was never suppose to be a single truth! It is multiple truths put together in likeness…as I am sure there are also multiple falsehoods as well.
The Bible is a message from God translated through us his children. We all make mistakes, and ultimately, there are mistakes in the Bible. But like I said, use it as a guideline for you life, don’t believe every single word written in the bible!

First of all, man coon, you have no idea what you are talking about. You are full of anger and seem to be just looking to vent it on someone.
God is not unforgiving.
His son chose to die as our sacrifice.
You put yourself in hell. No one but YOU can do that.
Science is not regarded by(all) Christians as evil, we are just not going to accept theories over truth. Science often proves the Bible's authenticity.
I hope you find peace.
Anyways, addressing the question:
there are probably a lot of mistranslations (such as unicorn) in the bible, and small goofs, like the insect thing.
What's important to me is Jesus.
i believe the Bible and what it has to say because that I have faith.
If someone doesn't have faith or want it, they will never understand.
The people with real faith though, have to be scientists who believe that ridiculous "Big Bang" theory.
Even if there was a big bang caused from gases, who made that?
There has to be a creator out their somewhere, to deny a creator is to deny your very right to exist.
Thanks for bringing up this matter, and don't be lead by my beliefs or the beliefs of others, only you can make your own decisions in life as to what you believe.
as for which religion's right? I guess we'll see when we die.
I will follow Jesus.

This is a statement said by our preacher, Bro. Eliseo Soriano of the Members of the Church of GOD International:
The Bible states something before it even happens as what is written in the book of Isaiah 42:9 —
Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
Where in the world can you find a book that predicts something before it even happens? Consider this statement made some three thousand years ago in the book of Daniel 12:4 —
“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
Technologies like cellular phones, computers, satellites, and the likes, only prove that what was written in Daniel's prophecy some three thousand years ago was authentic. Imagine, nowadays, we can communicate and even see each other even if we are emanating from two different locations. That is not possible in the olden times!
This is just one of the many proofs that the bible is an authentic book

Excellent question. To me the bible is just a book full of lies. God is not manufacturing humans and providing an instructions manual telling us how we should operate or be operated. The bible has been manipulated back and fourth over time. Smart leaders have use it to control masses. I hope I'm not offending anybody, but people just think it is god's word and they don't stop to question. Even though I don't believe in the bible, I think it has been of great value. People have the need to believe in something, and the bible does a great job. It is not god's word, but it is an invaluable guide to keep us in harmony, and in good behaviour. I hope not too many people read this. Keep believing, it is good for all of us.
Whoever believes it is god's word, god will know you believe in him and that you are on your quest to find him and that is what really matters. God bless you all.

I don't concern myself with what other religious people believe. I know what I know about God and it all came through knowledge of the written word of God. The Bible. The Bible has never let me down for a closer walk and understanding of God, myself, and others. My life is by faith, my path is the word, God is my proof of its truth. I have no need to prove anything, and neither does anyone else.

The base is the same in each and every religion. None religion said that fight on the name of "GOD" or kill each other on the name of "GOD"
Remaining is Bible. Well there is a possibility that it can not be 100% true because since we have typed and hand written versions since thousands of years but that is a question of every religion books either it is Kuran of Islam or Bhagvad Gita of Hindu.
But....someone said that.....
"There is no need of proof in matter of FAITH
Otherwise there is no Sign of Jesus in Bible"
That means when there is a matter of faith, you dont need the proof. Thats why people believe that Bible is Holy and is a word of GOD even there is no any signature of Jesus in that Holy Bible.. :) is it correct? !!

you absoulutly cannot prove the bible to be 100% true. it was written by god through man. 'we live be faith, not by sight.' if you are looking for an argument for the 'proof' of the bible, you won't find one that will make you happy because there is none.
i have often heard people refer to the bible as god's love letter to us. it's not there in order to prove that there is a god. it exists in order to show us gods love. he sent his son. he DIED horrible brutle death so that we coule go to heaven, so our sins could be forgiven.
in biblical times man had to sacrifice animals to god to take the place of our blood. the animal had to be pure, it couldn't have any deformaties or sickness. it had to be killed in a certian way. and for a period of time, that animals blood could take the place of ours. but not forever. that is why jesus had to die for us. he was the most pure, the mose innocent, the cleanest lamb to die for our sins and make a way for us to have a relationship with god.
we read the bible and we know it's true by FAITH. there is no other way. everything has an absolute. if your absolute is how you are 'feeling' today, then you have no balance for right and wrong. govern everything by the bible and it's unchanging.
if you get into most popular religions you will find that many of them are very similar to christianity. the missing ingredient is jesus. jesus is the only way we can get to god. we can't do it ourselves. if you decide to pick and choose from different texts saying that none can be totally true, you again have a mis-balance. where does it stop? when do you decide that 'this is it'?
you are looking for proof. but the word 'faith' itself means to believe in something for which there is no proof.
it's a very complicated subject and nothing you learn from here with completely satisfy you. you need to look to god, and start out small. do you believe god loves you? if so, good. start there. god loves you and created you and knows your deepest feelings and heartaches. start there.

Bible is 100% true because it was written by several authors inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Word with God and the Word is God. Not many messages from bible can be proof scientifically, but by Supernaturally and spiritually eg. sick get healed, etc

A huge portion of the Bible is metaphor to explain how things happened. People who believe the Bible is all true, real things that really happened exactly how they are written are fundamentalists, many of whom like to preach about this very subject.
So, it isn't necessarily wrong, it's just the way the people who wrote the Bible decided to tell the stories as they understood them. Of course 100% of it cannot be proven.

*slaps* SHHH... Come on, you know thats the world's biggest secret. These Jesus loving freaks have nothing else to live for, so why must you go around questioning the ony thing they live for? What need is there for questions like this when come on... its a book. Didnt your teacher in school tell you that all information from books is completely true? Science books and other holy books however are not considered books because they contradict THE book, so we can just disregard them. And anyway, isnt it just so much more fun to believe than to actually think for yourself? Man is it exausting to form your own opinions without having some ancient overtranslated book give them all to you. Hell, I'm not ready to have my own personality yet! Are you?
I'm sorry, this whole subject just pisses me off. The bible is a cute little book with cute little stories that promote moral values. Kinda like little kids books, they arent true but they have something to take from them. However, all these crack heads think that just because its old and someone special wrote it that everything in it is true. Even if everything in it is true, the people who wrote it have their own interpratation of events. No one can just say "this is how it went", that doesnt even work in court.
And even if they are right that everything in the bible is true. Do you want to believe in some man who lives in the sky is watching you. Dont forget that this is the same man who killed off his own son and has you eat his body and drink his blood every sunday if you dont want to go to hell simply to prove his existance? Oh, and I almost forgot about the fact that this so called perfect being of yorus is wrathful and unforgiving, otherwise he would transform people into perfect beings upon death and take them all to heaven. What type of a nice man would say "worship me and live life by my rules otherwise you will be tortured for all of eternity!" How can you prove that every event in the bible happened? How can you even begin to think that it is even slightly possible?! Believing what you believe is one thing, but these people try to force their beliefs down our throats and try to get everything their way because their book told them so.
