This stuff happens everyday and I used to ask why it was happening to me. Now I know God has a plan for me, protects me, and hears my prayers. I am a muslim woman. I know for a fact that God does hear my prayers and protects me. I should be dead, should have been a few times already, or at the very least have a disease. Before I became a muslim, I was living a very bad lifestyle. My husband knows God hears me. he is always shocked at stuff that happens, because he knows that these things that I prayed for are rare and somehow always happen for me. God does exist and there is a reason for everything. You just need to let go of the problem and put your trust in God. God will take care of it as long as you do good.

Some are Karmic debts and others are things the entity has to endure to understand life and suffering to advance toward higher evolvement in the spirit form. Suffering is a very hard thing to understand if you are involved in very deep spirituality. To explain this to you seems senseless, am I right? You are not meant to understand everything here as we see it only with our eyes. Everything goes much deeper than meets the eye, it takes alot of guts to think past what we just see before us, that is why i said you must be very spritual. Unless you are very deeply into the spirit you will not understand. The Buddhist pray for suffering because they know it is something they will reap the rewards of after this life has been lived, they are virtous enough to realized this life is very short and many of us do not. You see, you must look beyond the every day life to see what I'm talking about. Why do people treat each other like "****"? They do not realize that the self centered behavior will come back one way or the other or little do they realize that the way we treat each other is the way we treat ourselves. I hope I'm making you understand better but if not no need to worry, many people do not see this yet either. I tried and hope you will try to look deeper into yourself and find the answers within you, it will come with much mediation and prayer. Have a good evening.

does everything happen for the best? (i don't think so!) or do people just try to comfort themselves by saying that? one thing i know, though: that it is possible, and will be, that someday (maybe not in this life - maybe later in heaven - depends on how serious the wound is), somehow (i don't know how, but i know it is true), it can be changed into good if we come to Jesus Christ, and follow him, and trust him. He has the power and the grace to fix it. He can heal all hurts. (not unlike physical hurts, like if you break your arm, and its awful at the time, but then, if you come to the doctor and follow what he says, eventually the arm will heal, and your bones will be even stronger than they were before - except with Christ, it is way, way better.
i had a roommate once who said: you are like a log, and pain is like fire and chiseling and scraping and it hurts alot, and the more fire and chiseling and scraping, the bigger a hole it makes in you. the bigger the hole, the more room there is for joy, and love and happiness when the time comes to fill that hole up with goodness and wonderfulness.

If a person got instantly rewarded every time he did good and punished instantly after he did something bad everyone in the world would do good and progression would cease. Bad things happen because if they didn't where is the test? It is very hard sometimes when loved ones and innocent people die or get injured. You have to realize that those who commit those very henious acts will one day be punished. In this life or the next.

There is a theory that before we come to earth, that we make spiritual agreements with other souls for a variety of reasons, maybe we want to learn to be forgiven or to forgive for horrendous acts. That is a very tough one and I'm not sure many souls can forgive. It's because we can't remember what we are....spiritual beings having a human experience.

Not everything happens for the best it happens for a reason. People suffer becasue we sinned against God. Adam and Eve lived in perfect harmony with no suffering whatsoever but when they CHOSE to sin the Lord's punishment was pain and suffering.

Not everything happens for the best. Who told you that? The Bible says in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. That means that God can take bad circumstances and bring good out of them.

sometimes good stuff cant happen to someone if bad stuff happens to someone else. i am not saying that i agree with raping, abusing, murdering and/or such, i am just saying, for example, justice cant happen if some people don't go to jail, right? so in order for some people to be happy, some have to be sad. eventually everything will clear out.

if you read the bible you will see that god commits many evil acts and encourages his followers to commit them (rape, murder, genocide, and slavery), so thinking everything happens for the best is flawed (especially since the bible says we have free will and believing things happen for a reason, etc. is believing in predestination). Its up to you to either take some fairy tale to explain what happens in the world or to just use rationale and logic...

God had made it quite clear, if one obeys His commandments and keeps His covenant, He would not only bless but protect.

But since people choose not to obey His commandments, they go out and committ horrible crimes against other people. And since people choose not to enter into His convenant, He will not protect those who choose to refuse Him.

Deuteronomy 28
Blessings at Gerizim
1 "Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the LORD your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
2 "All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you obey the LORD your God:

And from verse 3 through 14 describes the many blessings God would give if one obeys His commandments. Then there is the darker side...

Deuteronomy 28
Consequences of Disobedience
15 "But it shall come about, if you do not obey the LORD your God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes with which I charge you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

And from verse 16 through 68 describes the curses God will allow to fall upon those who choose not to obey Him. Its not that God curses people Himself, no, but that He doesn't stop those curses from happening.
