You can get onto a program like Medi-Caid for people without the means to visit a doctor. You need to talk to a psychologist about this, one who has had experience with self injurers.
In the meantime, or if you just figure that's too much trouble, you should start keeping a journal of whenever you feel impulses to cut. Write down what happened to make you feel like cutting, what cutting would accomplish, and what you're going to do instead of cutting. It will make you more aware of what is triggering your impulse to injure.
Then you need to make a list of alternatives to self injuring. Alternatives are things like taking a walk, getting out of the house, going for a drive, reading, listening to music, painting, etc. Make a serious conscious effort to do one of these things instead of injuring.
I don't know how old you are, but I started when I was 13. I am 24 now and it's only been in the past year that I have stopped (mostly). I still slip occasionally. You should keep in mind that it starts out small, but it grows into something that devours you. I have ended up in the ER having to get stitches more times than I'd like to admit. Eventually it got to the point where I knew if I didn't stop I was going to sever an artery and die. I had to ask myself if that was what I really wanted. You should do the same.

It must be very hard for not be able to afford seeing a doctor, for I would suggest it the best way. But thank goodness! You are not alone. Talk to your friends, excersize ( If you can; for it help too ), taking a long bath, watching DVDs, spend sometime in nature... Whatever you like and can do at the moment. Also, it might help to find someone who is good at analysing to sort out solution with you for whatever is stressful to you. And I want to say: depression is not a crime or something to be ashame of; with help whether from outside or yourself, you can overcome it!

Relieving stress can be found in different ways. Cutting is definitely not one of them. You have to try and figure out what exactly is stressing you out. Is it school? Family? Friends? You have to try and figure out how to deal with this stress. Most of the time, talking to someone who you're close to can help. Maybe you have a friend you might want to reach out to who you know you can trust with every secret you've ever had. The fact that you're reaching out through the internet speaks volumes. There are a lot of people on the internet and reaching out is a great thing. It's the safest and surest way of asking for help without actually exposing yourself to the human eye saying, "I need help." My advise is that you should go to a friend who you trust and may even look up to. Talk to them, make sure they can take you seriously and not make fun of the situation. If not, talk to your parents. If you REALLY can't talk to them because I know it can be uncomfortable, you might want to go see a school counselor (if available).
Another way of just relieving stress is to do something you truly love, like listen to music or exercising. Also, make sure that you're eating properly (right meals and so forth). But please try and reach out to a friend. I'm sure you'll be able to find a friend who'll be willing to listen to you.
Please take care of yourself. I hope you feel better and remember, there's always someone out there who may be feeling the same way about you. I also found this website which you may want to go to: http://www.hopeline.com/ries.asp.... I'm not saying that you're depressed AND suicidal, but maybe the person on the line can help you figure out the next step. Feel better soon!

Take up wood carving as a hobby...I know it sounds stupid...but at least you could take things out on a peice of wood instead of yourself. My best way to relieve stress is to just get away for an hour or two and talk to a friend.

Contact the Local Mental Health Clinic, They do FREE Assessments and have sliding fee scales. If you need medications you can get most for FREE there also.
Contact a local church in the area if you are interested in therapy. Most have social workers on staff.
If you have 211/411 in your area, contact them. They can connect you with the right people in your area.

If you can't tell anyone, try and be more open to your friends or family. Tell them how you feel about everything, even though it may be a lot. But that's what they're there for, to listen. Try and take what you think is negative out of your mind.

That guy with the alias "minion" seems to be a good example that you can overcome this. This is absolutely not my domain. Take his advice to heart. I hope you will find a way to overcome this, too. Good luck!
