Meijer sells a GREAT pooper scooper. Spring action handle. It picks up doo in deep grass, mushy from rain, dried, sitting for a while, etc, etc. This is the best scooper I've ever used.
Hope this helps!

Depends on the climate. If humid then I'd use plastic bag and scoop it in with a cardboard, (sounds like you don't usually have this problem otherwise get a pooper scooper).
If desert like weather wait a day and shovel it up or pick it up with paper.

It depends on how long it's been there. just scoop it up with a poop scooper or a paper towel unless it's still soft, then I'd hose it into the ground.

Pet stores sell really good outdoor pooper scoopers that are great for this. you don't have to touch it and you can throw it all in a wheel barrow or garbage bag.
If your out and about, they sell little baggies in a roll that you can attach to your wrist.
Or, if you want to recycle, use your old grocery bags!

just wash it in .
it will work as fertilizer .
or if it is old and dry just pick it up
and throw it in the bushes or flower bed ,
also to act as fertilizer,
irf the grass breaks ,
dont worry ,
it will grow some more.

Use a pooper scooper. Don't leave it there because it's disgusting and you have to think of your neighbors. Don't worry if there is some residue after you pick it up, no one will notice.

Use a trowel and scoop it up.
or...like my mother....
She takes a plastic bag,
puts it over her hand,
grabs the "stuff",
pulls the bag back over her hand so it holds the "stuff",
ties it off and throws it away.
*shiver*
I'm just not ready to do that for my dog - or my neighbors.
