BECAUSE YOUR LIFE CAN BE BETTER. Seriously, it can.. it'll be hard though. Cravings will come and like William Burroughs wrote in "Junkie"... once an addict subconsciously even if you don't do the drug you are still pretty much an addict. Crack is so gross, just think of all the shitty times that you've been through due to that drug. Find a different environment where you won't be reminded of your habits and stay away from your old "friends" that shared those times with you.
Find new friends and do the same thing that every one is out here to do... the pursuit of happiness.

Maybe you won't find something that feels that way. But if you live your life based on feelings you are doomed to abject failure at every turn. You have to actually use your brain and think. Thinking and feeling are NOT the same thing. You have to make decisions and stick to them because you KNOW it is the right thing to do--NOT because you feel like it.
I was addicted to nicotine for 30+ years but I DECIDED that I had to stop. It did not FEEL good to quit, it was agony for a little while, but I made the decision that when I quit it was forever, NO MATTER how I felt about it at any time along the way. The longer I go (approaching 3 years now,) the better I feel!
There is an emptiness inside of you that you have tried to fill with the drugs. No amount will ever actually do the job, even though they will make you forget the emptiness for a while. The empty space can only be filled by God--it is a God shaped space so nothing else fits. Try Jesus, you have nothing to lose. If you don't like Him, I guarantee you Satan will take you back.

I used to have an addiction to Synth and painkillers, I know what you are going through brother. Just gotta work through it. It's gonna be hard at first, but the best thing you can do is find something that you enjoy that makes you not think about it. For example, you could try working out, going for a run. Or like find a game that you had been wanting to learn how to play for awhile, like Chess, Othello, Texas Hold'em, Poker, Canasta. Just something that you dont know how to do and learn it. Or there is other hobbies, like woodcarving, or puting togeather models. Like I said brother, just find something that takes your mind off and keeps you busy. =)

you will never match that feeling again with out drugs but the flip side is you'll never feel as miserable as an addict feels while trying to procure and even doing the drugs. it's a trade off -

Well I have never been addicted but I exercise alot. Try it. I think that will help. Once you get into it your body releases natural endorphins that give you a "high" feeling! But you have to really do alot and get into it! But you will love what you look like!

SO many reasons that only in time will you know. Gradually you will notice the better kind of friends you will get. Better things will happen as you get more control over your life. Oh, and hey, you'll get to keep a lot more of your teeth and have a MUCH BETTER SMILE. ;-)
