If you have to ask a question like this you might want to consider that you are on the road to alcoholism. People who are social drinkers rarely get sick because they set sensible limits on their alcohol intake and only have a few drinks in a session where they are going to consume alcohol. Only occasionally will someone get sick because the alcohol, which first effects the part of the brain where people make decisions, causes them to get carried away and consume too much. Usually when that happens to a person once or twice they make sure not to let it happen again.
If you are determined to drink hard alcohol even though you know you are likely to get sick then that's a major warning sign of a serious problem that will get progressively worse. I used to be a drunk and developed a chemical addiction to alcohol before I found out that what I was really looking for was the comfort and sense of purpose for my life here on earth that comes from a relationship with God through Jesus.

Nothing. If you drink enough vodka you will get sick no matter what precautions you have taken - believe me.
Having said that, I believe that hangovers are caused by severe dehydration along with a clogged overworked liver - so you might want to drink extra water and if you put lemon juice in it, it might help to clear out your liver a bit before the next round of vodka.
PS - food is not always the answer with vodka. sometimes it just gives you something to throw up.

Have a nice dose of olive oil to coat your stomach. If you are drinking the vodka straight, make sure it is good vodka and it is sipped, not slammed. If you arent drinking it straight, mix it with a mild juice, and not anything with carbonation. Hangovers in my opinion are caused by a hard drop in blood sugar. Before bed eat a snickers bar. After it is all done, if you still have a hangover, Alka Seltzer is the fastest way to remove it.

Spin around in circles then do a hand stand....oh wait you said not make you sick. Oh well in that case drink some water and eat something like crackers. In which case the crackers you can eat before or after. Either way they work.

try no longer to mix it with a diuretic (maximum fizzy drinks) - evaluate clean orange, cranberry juice, apple juice. do not drink less costly vodka, and steer away from Smirnoff pink. For a low fee decision (£10), bypass for Absolut or in case you'll get it close to you Stolichnaya. For a larger budget (upto £40) try Belvedere (my own wide-spread, generally about £25), Smirnoff Penka and Snow Leopard.

Try rum instead. Joking...drinking alot of water normally helps. Foods like bread and dry crackers normally help as well.
