they are some really nice people, in general. some of their philosophies are a bit overboard, and they can be a bit over zealous. but i think it's really hard to judge them on a fair basis because they are so many different people, and as for their religion, you have to read the book of mormon to understand them.
it's really kind of a weird philosophy, but so are a lot of religions.

First, I think organzied religion is for the weak minded. I respect the Morman for taking an active role in spreading their beliefs. I respect their right to believe in their own thing and respect the young men who dedicate two years of their lives to spreading the word of the church.

However, I have a difficult time understanding how anyone can buy into this hogwash about Joe Smith and his story. The testaments of the witnesses are suspect as they are all related and then the gold tablets mysteriously disappear? I think anyone who accepts this on faith alone is naive and is looking for something greater than themself to believe in. Most Mormans I know are good god fearing people. I just don't buy the argument that after Jesus was crucified he came to America to educate or indoctrinate the Native American Indians. Sorry!

Have heard from former Mormon leadership that at the top the religion is corrupt--organized crime, silencing fallen away members that want to expose the truth. But we are all human and capable of sin. You can not judge an entire group of people by a few.

How can you base a religion (mormans), or believe in it, when they tell you god said to kill all the indians. Then again, other religions have blood on their hands too, christians, muslims, pageans...

Latter Day Saints just bug me, always knockin at my door. They're harmless though.

Doesn't is say in the bible that you should go out and try and convert people, or was it force people into believing, I can't remember.

They are kind of a silly bunch. The entire religion is based on a magical golden book some kid found in the desert, read, then lost.

Children make up lots of silly stories. It's amazing that millions of adults would listen to one of them and develop a religion around it.

They are great people who make a lot of sacrifices for what they belive. I personally am not Mormon. But I do respect their beliefs. Very family oriented people. Some of the greatest people I know are LAD.

Mormons have great core beliefs, except for those few that practice polygamy. I know many Mormons and they are good people that have faith in the Lord.

In general, they are good people trying to do the right thing to live a good life and reach heaven. Like every other religion, they have their nuts which makes the religion look bad.

Overall, just another 'church'.

It has philosophical similarities with Christianity, Wicca, and Free Masonry. This seems odd because these three groups are all opposed to one another.
