Bar Mitzvah - The ceremony marking the thirteenth birthday when a young Jew comes of age.

It is called Bar Mitzvah, and it is the time when a 13 year old Jewish boy attains manhood. He conducts a service at the synagogue in Hebrew and everyone celebrates with feasting because that boy has become a man in the eyes of the Jewish Community.
There is a similar event for a girl when she is 12 years old called a Bat Mitzvah, and she becomes a woman in the eyes of the Jewish community.

it is spelled bah mitzpha but sounds bar mitzfa and this is the event in which a boy of 13 is recognized in hebrew culture as being a full adult and able to make adult decisions for himself. all mitzphas are a covenant between a hebrew and god.

The term is bar -mitzfah or also bat mitzfah.
It is when a boy becomes a man and promises to god that he will strive to become a better person to himself ,for himself as well as to others.
