How is it that in the church that I belong to we have seen people being healed of sicknesses? example: there is this young girl that attends my church. there was an apostle that called everyone up to the front of the church that had a doctor's appointment in the next two to three days. she went up. we all prayed for her togethere in unity in the church. the next week at church she explained that she had a tumor in her eye and that she was loosing her sight. every week she went to the doctor and x-rays where taken, well that week when she went to the doctor he couldn't find the tumor that had been there for months. the same tumor that had her wearing glasses because her contacts could no longer be put in her eyes.doctor's words "it's like a miracle" the tumor was gone.that's just one example. i've seen all types of illnesses being healed in my church? what do you say about that?

Hey slugmaster...how many mind power people have you seen healing the blind, making birth defects normal before your eyes, or raising the dead?

Okay, okay, some of us my self included have been called ateists cuz we don't believe in the bible. That does not necesarily mean we don't believe in miracles.

However, I will believe that church healing thing when I see it. Because after all seeing is believing, and the way I can explain that is the same way others have told you. The Placebo Effect. I mean if some of this so incredible stuff is true, how come is not on the Headlines of the CNN News. Because trust me girl, the way this world is now. We need good news on the news.

That sounds like it could have been either a varicose vein or a blood clot. If it was a blood clot, it moved. And if it moved in the right direction, I'll lay 5-1 that she will start seeing angels and purple midgets by this Sunday. I doubt she tells anyone about the purple midgets, so be sure to ask.

its known as the placebo effect, and has to do with the power of the human mind which if you believe strong enough (in anything) chances are you will make it happen and the fact is that things like that do happen to everyone, not just christians...

wow truebeliever YOUVE seen someone raise the dead? bravo, i would believe it if i saw it......there are plenty of studies you can find showing the power of the placebo effect healing things just like this....

Such people are called con artists, and people like you are called rubes.

Benny Hinn a well known fraud who claims such nonsense. Go look it up.

By the by, this is not a matter strictly for atheists. Most christians deal in the real world, not a meddling "god" like deluded fools believe.

If God's so great, how come he allows believers like yourself to get cancers and tumours in the first place? So if he can heal people, why doesn't he heal all the little kids who die of cancer and or die in accidents etc?

I believe the mind and brain can be a very powerful healer. The mind/brain can do wonders if we believe strongly enough that we will be healed or that we WILL fight the cancer and WIN. :-) This I believe.

I hurt my knee and I went to the doctor to get it fixed. Thankfully no one prayed for me and everything went fine.

If you are athiest then you should never say thank God or oh my God. What do you believe then. I can't see your brain so does that mean that you don't have one ??
