You will have to pay the cost of the pawn shop and the interest involved. They aren't there to listen to your concerns. Try and make an arrangement to get your chain back. If you are not old enough to make funds to pay it back, then you will have to tell your mother. Read Psalm 35 to (Plead My Cause) and let God know that you respect His help. The advice in this psalm is very good. God will help you as you ask for His intervention. Just don't do this sort of thing again. It was very wonderful that your mother thought enough of you to purchase such a chain. Honesty will set you free. Peace and God Bless.

Can't you get things back when you pawn them? You should go to the pawn shop and tell them your situation and try to work something out.

The truth is if it was a gift from your mom, then you should get it back. But it is wrong for her to want to take it back. A gift is something to treasure.

She can't take it back.
It was a gift for you to do with as you like.
You could say you don't know where it is because you don't, but she than might expect to see it later.

If she gave it as a gift why is she taking it back? If it was a gift then you can do with it what you please because it belongs to you.
