I certainly believe they can.
The man I am married to now cheated on his last few girlfriends. In fact I was warned by girls not to trust him.
We have been married 9 years and together 10. He has NEVER once done anything to give me suspision.
He is home everynight and he goes out he always tells me where he is.
I think it has to do with maturity. A man has to want to mature into a serious relationship.
Men that cheat and want to cheat will pick girls that allow them to continue that behavior. Forgiving a man when he cheats is giving him permission to do it again.
You have to lay down the law and not take any crap. If a man sees that and respects you he will either not cheat or break up so he won't hurt you.

It depends on the reason he cheated. If the relationship was already dying or dead and he was just the first to venture out that would make a difference. Was it for love or pleasure?

Anybody can change if they want to. Just don't ignore the signs if you think he's playing around on you, then get out of it and don't waste your time.
