Times are certainly changing....Might i be one to just say that whatever these kids are doing is only going to make relationships harder for them to manage later in life. A carefree attitude towards these sort of things only leads to a barren or meaningless relationship later.

Environment changes, time changes, technical possibilities change, but I don't think that people as in human race change. In the past centuries and still in many of living cultures of the Mother Earth people marry very young and that because of an obvious reason - procreation, security of own genes and property for the next generation. The earlier the better. A gynecologist would answer the question - girls in the Western societies and good functional environment develop faster due to enough proteins in the food, but - then, why do all the young people in other countries experience the same? When we get older, we don't see the time when we were young anymore and tend to blame it to "times are changing" and the young people getting worse. Actually, they don't, only we get older and envious. He-he, somehow I see a bunch of envious people here, teaching hypocrite what the youngsters should do, but deep in heart they have a wish that they would like to do the same (but cannot anymore) ha-ha. Just kidding.

it's that and parents just don't really care what their kids are doing too. I mean I will be 16 soon and I am not allowed to start dating until then. I think that is good though. I mean I like someone but I am just not really ready for something like that. It is also the personalities. People today think they are cool b/c they have a bf/gf. So a lot of people do that just to be popular.

I think times are changing, but in a bad way. Because now you often see 12 and 13 year old girls who are pregnant, or already have kids. Because believe it or not there are girls this young out there with kids and what not.

I agree. I see boyfriends as a distraction to my life. It seems like that's all people care about nowadays. But I'm glad I don't have to face the problems with boyfriends/girlfriends these days.

lol I was wondering the same thing. I think times have changed and a lot of little kids are worried, a lot, about the way they look...which is really sad. I feel so bad for them...no little girl should ever ask themselves if they are too fat.

I can answer your question from experience. As far back as I can remember, ive had boyfriends like crazy. I know with me, it made me feel special about myself. It made me feel like I had someone who liked me for EXACTLY who I was. At the ages of 12-14 I really felt I needed a boyfriend because of soo many life changes. I hit puperty and I felt like I was "trying to find myself" and during these times its not that easy to accept who you are. A boyfriend, however, makes you feel like someone cares, and you appeal greatly to them. In otherwords, makes you feel better about yourself in a time where you cant find positive things for yourself. However, I do not think that girls should get to the point where they "have to have a boyfriend to make them feel good". But, from experience I think it just makes girls feel better having someone there that loves them for being them exspecially when they feel they dont love themselves.
