I started homeschooling in the beginning of 9th grade, I wanted to go back to my public high school, but they said I couldn't. I have no clue why. They said if I went back I could continue my 9th grade year but the next year I'd have to repeat it. And for some reason it's only me, because I know a couple of other people who were homeschooled and had no trouble at all going back. Is it just me or what?

I take it your state has some type of test to see where they would rate your abilities.
If not you need to see what your rights are as far as demanding to be evaluated. Do well and you could even get put ahead! Do poorly and you could find yourself in a lower grade.

well if you got homeschool by a company that was not on your schools list then there credits are probably not transferable and the school probably doesn't accept them. NOW being as I do not know about homeschooling i can not be a hundred percent sure but i would guess it is like transferring from one school to another

It might have to do with the time of the year you're trying to go back, or it might have to do with your grades. Because different school districts have different policies, your best bet is to ask the school official directly what you need to do in order to enter the 10th grade with other students your age - good luck

Either you or you and your parents (the smarter would be the latter), need to go to the superintendent. All you should have to do is complete the placement exam to see what grade level you should be placed at. If they refuse, contact an attorney.

Good luck

You should ask your school why this happening in your case.
Is your grades are not enough or you did some thing which is not allowed in their guideline???

If your grades are poor, plz make them sure you will improve.
