They don't exactly forbid church.
They forbid freedom of worship.
They allow "state approved" churches.
So, if you have a meeting outdoors, or in an unused building, bam, your arrested, beaten, imprisoned, and sometimes killed.

China
and
Pakistan are a few.

Not the country. It is some people of some countries who forbid and destroy the churches.

Specially Asian Countries. I can give you a list. However I don't want to offend anyone.

China forbids churches, recently a missionary and his pregnant wife were beaten to death by the Chinese military for bringing Bibles into China.

Saudi Arabia forbids anything other than mosques.

The Holy See forbids anything other than the Catholic church.

Israel has severe restrictions on anything other than Judaism.

China is one. The last I knew they were still having to sneak Bibles in there, the people each take pages and share them with all who want. If they are caught taking Bibles in they are killed
