This is what to do. Call his mom Miss.(First name) and his dad Mr. (first name). My grandparents taught me to do that when I was a kid. They were from the south and that's how people addressed adults. Not that you aren't an adult. I guess it still works for me. But I'm sure that after you do this his parents will say "Oh just call me (whatever their name is) Anyway don't stress. If you are a good person and really like their son then they will know and like you if for no other reason then you make him happy. Good Luck.

Start with Mr or Mrs with the parents, and possible calling siblings by their first names. Wait and see if they ask you to call them something else. A lot of it depends on the people and the place. Where I live now, I call most adults, even some of my high school teachers, by their first names. In other places, its a very strict Mr and Mrs society.

I think u should start off with Mr and Mrs so and so in the beginning..if they are very casual and free and ask u call them by their first names then go for it..if they are very reserved..then stick to Mr and Mrs.

Give them the Mr. and Mrs. treatment, and let them tell you how would they like to be addressed.

It's rude to call them by their first name if they don't tell you to do so.

I feel that when your talking to anyone elderly ((the persons parents/ family)) that you should call them by their last name, mr.and mrs etc. Do this until they give you permission to call them by their first name. It makes you look good and gives a first good impression.

:)

a first name basis is rude, when you dont know them personally, for example their friends....especially, if its your girlfriend, call her parents by mr. and mrs.
however, if MRS.. ..... insists, that you call her by her name, than its totally alright...but when your meeting for the first time, yes, do call them by mrs. mr.
