I agree with Levi...the fastest and best way is through total immersion. Here in the US, that may be difficult, few schools here actually use this method. The second best would be find a Spanish-speaking family and spend as much time with them as you both can stand...and speak nothing but Spanish while you're with them! Good luck!

I think it depends how old you are and how much you want to learn it. Studies show that the older you get the harder it is for you to learn, esp. concerning language. If you are totally dedicated to learning Spanish try the software. If it merely interests you try taking a class, but those can be awfully hard.
