In my opinion, fried turkey is superb. The key to the perfect bird requires just a few steps: Bird selection--most turkey fryers work best with a smaller bird--9 to 13 lbs. Bird prep--injectable marinades bathe the meat gloriously--12 hours or more prior to cooking is recommended Bird immersion--must be cooked at the correct temp and time limits suggested by the manufacturer. Last, Bird Safety--every year many novice or drunk folks receive life threatening injuries from lack of common sense safety measures. Good luck

Best tasting bird I've ever had was fried turkey. However, ya heard of the saying, "If it's frying, your dieing! Seems like just about anything that taste soooooooo good is bad for you.

Hell YEAH!!!!!! I bought my husband a turkey fryer for Father's Day last year. I was kinda hesitant that it would taste oily because it takes at least 4 gallons of oil to cook one, but I was pleasantly surprised. But please, cook safely, follow ALL of the direction exactly. Those things are cool, but they can be very dangerous if they're not used properly. Happy Frying!!!!

I think it is delicious. We had a turkey fry at our church and they had roast turkey and fried turkey. I liked them both but was surprized how juicy it remained.
