In my opinion the US is not interested in true democracy.,,seriously for the past 50 years , the US supported every dictactor available..
It even overtrew a few democracies to impose dictactorship favorable to the US governement , In August 2002, The US was responsible a coup , it attempted to overtrow the elected government of Venezuela..

Hell no, a true democracy would only lead to a Islamic Theocracy similar to Iran, we need a strongman to oppress the people and keep them in line.

You are quite right Cyrano : "spreading democracy" is just something the Bush gang thought up AFTER the invasion. Real democracy in any Muslim country will be disastrous for the West, because the people will always support radical Islamic candidates. Look what democracy has done in Palestine!!!!!!

By 'leading thinker' don't you mean: "Agrees with me?"

And the opinion of somebody who is too stupid to realize that Iraq is now a 'true democracy.'

Sounds like you need to listen to people who know what they are talking about.

We are not in Iraq for democracy. We are causing the civil war there. If another country came to our country killing our people and telling us how we need to change our country wouldnt we put up a fight. Why shouldnt these people fight against us we are telling them the way they live is unacceptable after living it their whole lives.

Democracy ended long ago. Coorporatism, making fast money in wreckless ways, and pouring money into impossible anti-ism campaigns is where our path leads now. So we are helpless enforce democracy on people who don't want it.
